Valentino, our driver, was excellent. We went to Civita di Bagnoregio first on our trip. We left hotel at 8 am. and glad we did. We got there before any crowds. Our group was all over 76 years old. This walk is not for the faint of heart. We all made it up to the town and enjoyed the city. Orvieto was next and enjoyed the city. The private tour is the only way to go with a small group of 7 or less.

Our family of 5 took this day trip from Rome with Gilberto. We had a wonderful time. Gilberto provided us with safe transportation and provided many good suggestions on what to see and where to eat. It was an amazing day! Thank you!

Gilberto planned a wonderful day tour for us. We visited Civita di Bagnoregio and Orvieto. Understanding that my mother has limited mobility, he arrived in a lovely large Mercedes minivan that was very comfortable and had no problem fitting the wheelchair. He had also arranged that my mother be taken up the long ramp to Civita di Bagnoregio in a red cross vehicle. Without this, we would not have been able to see this wonderful town. It was the highlight of the day. Gilberto was very flexible, planning our day around our interests and needs. He was knowledgable, engaged and very accomodating. Gilberto is highly recommended!

And it was worth it! It's along walk up the bridge to the city but most people can do it if you just take your time. The city is small and beautiful with amazing views. The food was incredible at the restaurant we stopped in. There's not much up there but it is worth the trip to see it.

Our guide, Marco, picked the 6 of us up at the apartment we had rented at 8:00. We had an easy drive for about an hour and a half. We arrived at Civita di Bagnoregio first. Marco directed us where to go and gave us plenty of time to enjoy the Civita. A walk down some stairs to the path up to the city. The walk may be difficult for some. After some time walking around and enjoying the local cats and amazing views we walked back and headed to Orvieto. An easy 30 minute drive. Orvieto is a quaint little town with a duomo that is very beautiful. It was €4 per person to go inside. There are lots of shops and places to eat. Marco suggested a little family owned place called Cantina Foresi. We saw the old wine cellar and had some lunch. We really enjoyed the food and the wine. Would definitely recommend it. After lunch we shopped a bit and just wandered the city for a few hours. We headed back to Rome about 4:00. Full day out of Rome but for us it was a nice change. If you have the chance to go, I would highly recommended it. Marco was an exceptional guide and an excellent driver.

Simply a top location, stunningly beautiful, a big effort to get there is extremely steep and at 40 degrees you know it. But once you get there it is a stunning town, old and beautiful.
