Your Itinerary

Cotswolds

We travel to Tetbury ( Prince Charles Highgrove shop) through Cirencester to Bourton on the Water with all its bridges.. On to the small village of Lower Slaughter ( recent filming of Emma - Jane Austen) On to Stow on the Wold and down to Burford. It is often possible to have English afternoon tea at one of these delightful villages) A stop further on at Bibury with its Arlington row old woollen cottages. Normally we will stop for 20-30 mins at each village to achieve photos etc No tour would be complete without Castle Combe( many film sets) for many a favourite with its Manor house Norman church and stream with the idyllic bridge. We return to Bath. fully exhilarated. This covers a very well thought out route through The Cotswolds, taking in most of the spectacular villages you would have seen in all the tourist literature and some you may not have thought about. However you may have other suggestions and I will do my best to include them,

Paul Elliott made our countryside outing very memorable! It was well worth traveling in a car with a guide that knew exactly where and when to go to avoid crowds. He is very personable and very easy to talk with all day. It was so sweet that he knew so many ordinary people like the ice cream vendor and the pregnant shop owner that was closing a long standing store to start her family. We got some great photos as well. I wish we had more time to travel with Paul inside Bath!

Paul Elliot was a superb tour guard. Fully knowledgeable about the history and geography of the Cotswolds. He planned the tour so as to avoid crowds ( it was a sunny Sunday!) and knew all the secret spots to park and walk and all of the best photo ops. Plus, he has a delightfully dry sense of humor. I would most highly recommend this tour! The Cotswolds are lovely.

Paul made the day fun and informative and selected an excellent itinerary to give us a taste of the Coswolds. He even took us shopping and set up a nice afternoon tea. Fun and enjoyable day in the comfort of a private car. I would highly recommend!

Paul was a wonderful guide through the Cotswolds for me and my older parents. He provided a perfectly curated journey of beautiful villages with enough time to see what we needed. We had a comfortable car, enough water, bathroom stops, a stop for lunch, and recommendations tailored to our interests. He knew exactly where to go and where to park close to each village and adapted our itinerary for the best times to visit each. His humor, his depth of knowledge about the history of the area, and his passion for it created a wonderful day that was a highlight of our trip thus far. We highly recommend Paul for this tour.

Paul was a delight! Knowledgeable, funny, and knew how to get fast access to each place. The Cotswolds are difficult as a tourist without a car, so the hotel pickup and cold water along the way made the journey really comfortable. Thanks, Paul!

It was an extremely wonderful trip that we have visited so many nice places. The scenery is so beautiful and Paul is very nice to explain to us for the places and people around this Cotswolds areas. We enjoyed it very much and really recommend for people who would like to explore more about this natural environment and beautiful scenery with friends and family. Highly recommended.

Castle Combe and Bourton On the Water were especially memorable. Bay Tree Hotel is wonderful for lunch.

This is the perfect tour and Paul is the best tour guide. Paul is beyond excellent and you have his full undivided attention for the entire duration of the trip. He is keen to pick up on your interests when stopping in all the towns (shopping, viewing churches, coffee, markets etc). Paul has 30+ years experience in the tourism industry. He previously did motor coach tours and pivoted during the pandemic. I think this pivot for him was excellent and selfishly gave us the benefit! Paul knows all the secret parking spots and tries to get the closest parking spot possible to where he will your you. If not, he will drop you off and you will meet back up with you as you’re exploring. We were lucky enough to tour on a Saturday and there were little markets set up in almost every town which was wonderful to see and visit and have a chat with the locals. Many of the stops or shops he takes you in, he is known by the locals and they couldn’t stop praising him for how excellent he is. When in Bath, take this tour you won’t regret it. Also- give yourself the entire day. Don’t make evening plans as you don’t want to rush.

We saw many beautiful villages during our Cotswolds tour. Our guide was very knowledgable and structured the tour so our last (and favorite) village (Castle Coombe) visited was nice and quiet when we got there.
