Crimea office

A fairy-tale village of thatched cottages and beautiful landscapes that is away from the tourists. The home of several famous characters and the future home of royalty.

Stow-on-the-Wold Market Square

The centre of the wool trade in the Cotswolds. Here you'll have time to browse among honey-coloured buildings, cosy pubs, narrow streets, interesting shops and tiny tea rooms.

Lower Slaughter Museum

Our next stop is the picturesque village of Lower Slaughter, one of the most romantic villages in the Northern Cotswolds and set in the most amazing countryside. Larger vehicles are not allowed into this village.

Bourton on the Water

Our next stop is arguably the most famous Cotswolds town and regularly voted one of the prettiest villages in England; Bourton-on-the-Water. Known as the 'Venice of the Cotswolds' there is plenty to see and do with a wealth of attractions, shops, restaurants and tea rooms. Here you have free time to explore and enjoy some lunch.

Burford Library

On route we go through some enchanting Cotswold villages to the town of Burford, often called the 'Gateway to the Cotswolds'. A very iconic town and home to one of the most beautiful and ancient churches in the region. Stories aplenty!

St Mary's Church

Travelling along the stunning Windrush Valley visiting hidden villages including Swinbrook. One of the most secluded villages and home of the notorious Mitford Sisters.

Minster Lovell Hall & Dovecote

A real highlight of the tour which boasts plenty of Cotswold stone and thatched roofs, as well as holding the title of being the region's most haunted village. Minster Lovell is perhaps best known for the ruins of its 15th century hall, owned by generations of the Lovell family. A true hidden gem!

The day spent in the Cotswolds was superb. Our guide Jo was amazing. She knew so much about so many things. Our group of 7 bonded immediately due to Jo’s personality and concern that we all love our experiences. We never have figured out our way to navigate the roads or know what we were looking at once we got there. Don’t. Miss this experience.

This tour was outstanding from start to finish. Ian was exactly where he said he would be to start the tour, it started on time, and although we saw a lot, the day never felt rushed. We also arrived back at the time promised. Ian’s choices of sights were excellent. Every stop entailed something picturesque and varied - a small village, a good-sized town centre, a water course, a church full of history, a ruin. We loved everything we saw. The pleasure of our tour was made complete by Ian’s warm personality and knowledge of the area. Highly recommend!

Such a fantastic day,saw some amazing sights and beautiful countryside. Our guide / driver was perfect extremely knowledgeable and full of interesting information , as well as being a very safe driver. Why would anyone bother to drive themselves when they could do this tour with less trouble and much more enjoyment.

Ian, of Undiscovered Cotswolds, was a most excellent guide for our day exploring the Cotswolds. The villages and countryside were even more beautiful than we had imagined and Ian made sure we saw as much of it as possible. His knowledge of the area was impressive and his stories about the various places were entertaining and engaging. We only wished that the day could have been longer so that we could have lingered in this enchanting part of England. Thanks, Ian, for a day that we will long remember!

Joanna is AMAZING. She went above and beyond as a tour guide, took us to places we never dreamt of seeing, and told the most wonderful and memorable stories. This tour was just six or seven people (no big buses) so we were able to drive through places a bus could not reach.

We learned so much, and saw what we wanted to see. Jo, our guide was excellent. We recommend this tour.

First off, it was Jo, our tour leader. She met us at the station and immediately took us to the van to start. She was super friendly and totally knowledgeable. We visited five villages, plus a drive- by of Blenheim palace. We had just enough free time to explore and have lunch.

This was a delightful day tour of some of the lesser-visited areas of the Cotswolds with a fun, gracious, and well-informed guide (Jo). My personal favorite moments were seeing two spots visited by Tolkien for "Shire" inspiration, including the St. Edward's church door in Stowe-on-the-Wold that inspired Durin's Door in the Mines of Moria. We would never have been able to navigate a trip like this on our own, and it was a bargain for the price.

The sites were so beautiful. Great to get away from the city and see the beautiful countryside. Loved not having to drive it myself too! Met wonderful folks and our guide was awesome!
