We took the walking tour with Andy on 6/13/24 - my husband and I plus two teenage boys, ages 15 and 17. We’d already had a pretty heavy hike earlier in the day so we wanted to take it way little easier and really appreciated Andy asking our group if we wanted to take it easy or step it up a notch. Andy was very clear and helpful about what to do should we encounter a bear or moose which made us feel safe and prepared. Along the hike he shared a tremendous amount of information about the plant life and Alaska itself. He was very knowledgeable and really wanted us to get the most out of our time in the woods. It was incredibly beautiful and we again took a ton of pictures. Highly recommend this trek with Andy!

Courtney was incredibly knowledgeable about not only flora and fauna of the area but the history and ecology of the forest and Denali. This tour was my very favorite of many excellent excursions.

Had a wonderful guided walking tour in Denali Park today. We walked for about 2-1/2 hours through the woods, and our excellent guide Courtney pointed out all the little plants, flowers, lichen, fungi, and trees, as well as the interactions between the plants, insects and animals. She told us whether they were edible or medicinal, and how the native people used them. Our party of four enjoyed every minute and we learned a lot about the Denali ecosystem!

This tour was quite amazing. Walking for 3 hours with two accompanying very informative guides was not only relaxing but provided insight into the changing forest nature of cyclic climate changes. The route we were taken on was not overly strenuous but physical capacity needs to be taken into account when electing to do this walk. The guides provide a comprehensive briefly on dealing with animals should we come across one plus good supportive gear was provided.

This hike is definitely the highlight of my Alaskan experience. Joseph was very knowledgeable and patient as I am older and not the most physically fit person. The view at the summit was spectacular and I loved hearing about all the medicinal uses of the plants and fungi. If you don’t book a hike a with this group during your Alaskan vacation you are missing out!

Courtney was our naturalist tour guide and was AWESOME! We were a group of 6 and she made sure to stop and talk to us about each thing so everyone in the group could hear. She offered to take pictures of us at stops and made sure to pick trails based on who she has on the tour. She was full of information and we found it very interesting. We loved that she lives there all year round and was a regular resident and not someone that just comes from other states.

This walking tour was perfect! Lauren was our guide and she was so friendly and knowledgeable. She asked us if we wanted an easy, more level hike or one with more climbing that would be moderate. As we all had already hiked some earlier in the day before we got to Denali, we all agreed on the easy, level hike. She pointed out all of the interesting flora and signs of fauna along the way, and filled us in on the history of the area, but also allowed quiet time to just enjoy the surroundings. I could tell she really loved the area and enjoyed guiding others on a hike. For us, this was the perfect introduction to Denali NP because as we spent the next two days in the park, we already had the knowledge of the things around us. I totally recommend this walking tour!

We took an off the beaten path tour and it was exactly what we wanted. Our guide educated us about the flora and fauna in the area. We saw sign of moose and what they like to eat. Amazing and fun.
