Sanctuary of Our Lady of the Holy Fountain is a Baroque-style, Roman Catholic church in the pedanƭa of Algezares, part of the city of Murcia, in the region of Murcia, Spain. A church at the site began in 1694. The facade was completed in 1705 designed by Toribio Martƭnez de la Vega. The facade had reliefs and sculptures designed by Jaime Bort and completed by JosƩ Balaguer.

La Glorieta de EspaƱa, also known as the Glorieta or Paseo de la Glorieta, is one of the most important, popular, and beautiful squares in Murcia. It can be found in the old town, next to the Segura river, separated by a road, and, is very close by to Cardenal Belluga square, where Murcia cathedral is, linked by Arenal street. It's a pedestrianized square, elongated in shape and with flower beds. It has two major buildings: the Town Hall or Council building and the Episcopal Palace.

Real Casino de Murcia

The Sociedad Casino of Murcia was built in a little palace of the old Lucas street on 11 June 1847. It developed a long project of purchase of real estate and decoration until coming out to the Traperƭa street, where today it has its facade and its main entrance, finished in 1901. Main Facade: It is an eclectic style work of the architect Mr. Pedro CerdƔn Martƭnez. It has decorative features of classical and modernist artistic trends.

This is an important site because it is one of the few remains of Carthaginian civilization in Spain, and the walls bear witness to one of the most important events of Ancient history in the Mediterranean Sea: the Second Punic War.

Castillo de la Concepcion

Palacio Consistorial

The City Hall is, without any doubt, one of the most beautiful buildings in Cartagena. Eclectic, somewhat French style, was built between 1900-1907 by TomƔs Rico with the collaboration of Francisco de Paula Oliver, on the same site where the old building of the consistory of the 18th century was located. The triangular building has three different facades with abundant decorative elements: split pediments, elliptical windows, classic moldings, female heads, shields.

Museo Del Teatro Romano

The theatre was built between 5 and 1 BC, as has been proven by the dedication of the edifice to Gaius and Lucius Caesar, grandsons of Augustus, who had designated them as his successors. In the 3rd century AD a market was built over the theatre, reusing its materials, with a semicircular open space which followed the plan of the orchestra.

Calle Mayor

Calle Mayor is the main pedestrian street with beautiful architecture in old Cartagena that takes you from the cruise port past the Roman Theatre/Museum, the Church of Santa Domingo, and many shops and restaurants. Other sites are easy to walk to from here. There are many interesting buildings to see whilst walking in this area. Do take the time to look up also as there are a variety of balconies to see. The tour ends at the city center or close to the port or another preferred by you place.
