The private tour of the ranch with Brian was a special treat. The kids (and we) loved learning about how they raise their cattle. The owners are conscientious and care for the animals well. Brian was an absolute pleasure as a tour guide. The kids loved going through the cattle chute, feeding the chickens, and seeing the cattle eat. This is a beautiful property. I almost wish I had an RV so I could stay here in a peaceful setting and catch fish in the ponds. This is a fabulous family activity if you are in the area.

This was a great way to spend the morning. The ranch is beautiful. We did the 1.5 hour educational tour. Charlie was informative and interesting. My kids are 12-14 and he kept their attention the whole time. We didn’t know anything about about cattle before going, but we learned a lot. We bought a large tenderloin from the store that was amazing!

We enjoyed the ranch . Charlie was great , informative, nice and knowledgeable. Beautiful scenery around the ranch. Hopefully if we come back next year we could eat and try to meat there, since now because of the COVID-19 we could not do on our tour.

My mom, husband, and I visited Walnut Hollow Ranch in October, 2019. We were visiting friends in Tennessee and we decided to check out Walnut Hollow Ranch. We own a motorhome and we are member of Harvest Hosts. While in Tennessee, I was doing some research on Harvests Hosts and I discovered Walnut Hollow Ranch. We ended up running late, so we called ahead and the owner, Charlie Kissling, very graciously agreed to stay open til we arrived. Upon arrival, we noticed how beautiful and pristine that farm was! You could eat off of the barn floor! We were greeted by employees who explained their operation to us.All of us purchased steaks. We talked to Mr. Kissling about accommodating our 42ft motorhome. He graciously showed us the campsites that we could fit into. Their staff was very friendly and eager to answer any questions! Later that evening, we cooked the steaks and they were the best steaks that any of us have ever eaten!! We will definitely return to Walnut Hollow Ranch! We highly recommend that everyone should visit Walnut Hollow Ranch!!

Our host Charlie, as well as all of the staff (Jerry and wife) were very hospitable and knowledgeable about the ranch. It was a very family-like atmosphere. They went out of their way to accommodate us with our 30P Fleetwood Flair with a full hookup. The ranch was full and still more campers came. Charlie was great and found spots to help everyone out. Charlie even offered to take us half-way to meet an enterprise vehicle rental representative to have the use of a vehicle enabling us to see the sights. We opted to pick one up on the way but felt that was very nice of him to offer. The ranch was beautiful, nestled in the mountains. We were able to walk around the ranch, had a wonderful shower and did our laundry. There were lots of things to do in the area.

We stayed 4 nights in a site with water and electric. Full hook-up sites all the way down to tent sites were available. These sites are smack in the middle of a working cattle ranch. All the sounds that go with a working farm are likely to happen here. We loved it. The evenings were very quiet. The staff is very hospitable and knowledgeable about the farm and the area, in general. We used the common restroom instead of our holding tank. We thought it a bit odd that we were asked to pay $6/pp for showers when we could have used our shower, but hey, it is what it is. Maybe it covers the cleaning. We bought some of the cut steaks and thoroughly enjoyed them. The dogs even got a special blend of ground made just for them. Definitely would stay again. Thanks Charlie and Carol. Great time. We came and stay for 2 nights in the Ranch Room. It's a Hostel type room and there is another upstairs, called the Loft. They have RV sites, tent sites, boondocking sites, and the best Angus beef you can get. They are dog and kid friendly. We highly recommend a stay here if you are in the area, passing through or just need some time away. The place is beautiful, the scenery is amazing, and Charlie, the host is the best. This is an actual working cattle ranch. Come and stay, say hi to the cows, horse, donkey and CC the cat.
