My wife, her sister-in-law and I took a two-day tour with Karine Poullard and See My Normandy tours in mid-September. My wife and I had previously toured the D-Day beaches area in 2015 with another guide. This time we wanted to help her sister-in-law follow in the footsteps of her late father who landed on D-Day plus one and participated in Operation Cobra as a member of the US Army. Being someone who was originally and is currently from the Normandy region and whose grandparents lived in Caen during WWII, Karine brings a unique perspective that other guides may not be able to provide. She was able to relay the historical background of the sites and the actions that took place there, as well as how the armed forces engaged in the conflict were viewed by the local population. In addition to her native language, she also speaks fluent English should you be from the USA and not speak French. I would highly recommend touring with Karine should you be interested in a tour of the D-Day sites. Jeff from Wisconsin

Katrine is a superb guide, and knows Normandy well. She was kind enough to begin the tour at the dock in Honfleur where our cruise had just ended, and finish it at our B&B in Bayeux. She really looked out for us, as well as educating us. It was a terrific day. Every stop was a pleasure, but Honfleur itself should not be missed (picture attached).

We highly recommend Karine. We spent two days with her in Normandy - one touring the American D-Day sites and the other at Mont Saint Michel. It was me, my wife and our 17 year old son. We are all big history buffs, and my wife and I had done a D-Day tour in '04 with Battlebus. Karine's WWII knowledge was extraordinary, plus she had a French perspective from having grown up near Sword Beach. We particularly liked her getting us access to a German communications bunker at Utah, getting us to taps at the American cemetery, and then spending a lot of time at Omaha Beach's Dog Green seeing what the 29th Division encountered. The visit to Mont Saint Michel the next day was equally great, as she pointed out sites along the way (WWII as well as earlier Norman history) and gave us a great overview and a great tour of the Abbey. Her van was immaculate, she went out of her way to be sure our train to/from Normandy was on time (there were strikes in France) and made sure we were checked in to our hotel before leaving us. We will use her again if we visit Normandy and will recommend her to our friends.

Karine did a fantastic job with us on our day tour of the American sector. Her knowledge was quite impressive and she was wonderful in engaging our children as well.

Karine is an extraordinary guide, who shares her knowledge generously. She takes great care of her clients and we see that she enjoys doing her job. His English is absolutely perfect and my American husband was able to ask him all his questions. A day we will remember!
