Las Vegas

(Pass by)

Mostly indoors to avoid heat I can take photos Great for beginning of your trip so you know where to go - saving you time & money. Hey everyone, I'm Jonathan and after months of exploration, I've put together the only original walking experience of the must-see spots on the Vegas Strip. Things you should see/ know, hidden gems, spots even locals don't know. I've cut out the guesswork, the boring stuff & created a smooth small-group walking tour for a less stressful trip. We'll see a lot Hidden Gems: speakeasy concealed within a barbershop, tucked-away tequila & nacho bar, a secret NY pizza shop, Skybar & tea lounge Deals: Prime happy hr spots mystery shots, $3 beers, all-day 2-4-1 deals, bottomless mimosas, 3-course lunch specials: $28, half-price food & drink deals, Affordable Michelin star bistro How/ where to eat & drink quality on a budget Pretty Stuff: Oasis & wildlife habitat w/ exotic birds, fish, flamingos, botanical garden, Chandelier bar, largest chocolate fountain

Palazzo Resort Casino

Walk through a relatively low-key, tranquil, Italian-palace style resorts. We´ll see one of the most grand, oppulent palace-like lobby, crystal statues, and a second-floor stuffed with some of the best happy-hours and unique restaurants on the Vegas Strip!

The Venetian Las Vegas

A hotel & casino built for the owner's wife, we'll walk through a replica of Venice, Italy and one of the largest hotels in Vegas and the U.S! Beautiful hotel with Italian frescoes, hand-painted murals real Italian-marble. We'll also visit a relatively unknown second tower that's a great escape from the crowds, one of the most beautiful tranquil lobbys you'll see in Vegas and with a little French Michelin Star restaurant tucked away, hiding in the back. Great place if you want to eat at a world-famous celebrity chef without breaking the bank! Step out of Vegas for a second and be transported to Italy!

The Grand Canal Shoppes at The Venetian Resort

Part of the Venetian resort, The Grand Canal Shoppes are a series of shops and restaurants that meander along side a replica of a Venice Canal, filled with gift shops, pastry shops, restaurants with happy hours and lunch specials like 3-course lunch specials for $28, half-price pizza happy hour, $6 beers, $7 wine, $8 cocktails, chocolate shops. We'll pass by the famous Tao nightclub & restaurant (one of the highest grossing restaurants in the U.S) all the while being incased in a shopping mall that makes you feel as if you're in Venice. Great time to grab drinks of coffee while on the tour! Also show you some hidden views of St. Marks Square and spots others don't know about.

Casino Royale

Casino royale is absolutely not on anyone's "must-visit" radar... unless, you'd like to have a little taste of vintage Vegas or a piece of Fremont Street on the Strip! This place looks like something out of your favorite Vegas mafia movie - dark, low-ceiling, smokey, cheap slots (and only slots), cheap food like 24hr Dennys, 24hr White Castle, $3 hotdogs and better yet, $3 beers all-day everyday! And a $3 atm machine, cheapest on the Strip!

The Piano Bar at Harrah's

(Pass by)

Usually I'll walk through Harrah's to stay out of the weather if it's too hot or cold outside. Harrah's has a cake vending machine, pizza vending machine, it's a gamblers casino but they have the Piano Bar with Big Elvis and nightly dueling Pianos so great spot if you're into Piano Bars.

The LINQ Casino

(Pass by)

The only thing that excites me in the Linq is the Dunkin Donuts and they have a little casino within the casino called O'Sheas and O'Shea's has an amazing frozen Bailey's so feel free to grab one as we pass by! (No, I'm broke, I'm not buying!)

The LINQ Promenade

(Pass by)

We'll walk through the Linq Promenade a bit. It has a zipline, Largest Observation wheel in the U.S (Highroller) and it's a street full of bars and restaurants which many do happy-hour. It's like a Vegas version of Downtown Disney but with pot, cigarettes and alcohol. Minimal crying kids.

O'Sheas Pub

(Pass by)

O´Shea's is also the smallest little casino on the Strip. One slot machine, one craps table, one roulette table, they might have more beer-pong tables then card games. But a very lively fun time!

Flamingo Wildlife Habitat

Next will slither through the Flamingo, the oldest hotel and casino on the Vegas Strip. Very pink, vintage photos, and a little wildlife animal habitat full of black swan, pelicans, and real Chilean Flamingos among exotic birds, ducks and massively mutant looking Koi fish. Quiet, mellow, trees, it's like stepping into a little tropical oasis - in the middle of a casino... but they have Carlos & Charlies! So if you're in a TexMex mood, outdoor bar and patio, $6 drinks in the morning and buy1, get 1, happy hour in the evening!

Casino at The Cromwell

(Pass by)

Usually if it' too hot or cold, I'll cut through some casinos to stay out of the "elements" which is what I do with Cromwell. Small boutique hotel, looks like one of those old dine-in Pizza Huts but smells like baby powder and regret and shame. Great air conditioning through.

Grand Bazaar Shops

Love the Grand Bazaar Shops at Horseshoe because this where the deals are and most people walk right by them. Lets just say, low-priced food, snacks, make your own donuts, chicken, BBQ, pizza, Mexican, burgers, gourmet hotdogs, $1 shots, or 2 mystery shots for $5 and my spot that does buy one get one drinks all day everyday! Think two beers for $8 and two cocktails for $17! Oh, and dollar waters!

Bellagio Conservatory & Botanical Garden

We'll cruise through the Bellagio for a few things: 1. The conservatory. It's low hanging fruit that anyone can see but it changes seasonally and is always worth a stop! 9,000* real plants, smells amazingly fresh and seasonal, visually eye popping displays and better yet, it's something that's not a casino! 2. World's "largest" chocolate fountain. Technically it's not, maybe largest in the U.S but it' still neat to see thins thing. 3. Then I'll show you some good photo spots and vantage points to watch the Bellagio Fountain show, spots that have lesser crowds.

The Cosmopolitan Casino

All I'm gonna say here is speakeasys, hidden bars and amazing food options. You'll see when we get there!

The Shops At Crystals

(Pass by)

Bougie shopping center. Just cutting through. Architecturally amazing, filled with designer shops, art gallery, and very energy efficient. This is where the future of Las Vegas begins. Ultra Luxury.

Casino at Aria Resort

(Pass by)

If there's time we'll pass by through Aria. Ijust show people the lobby because they always have awesome seasonal display. Beautiful Lobby and Catch restaurant has one of the coolest entrances for a restaurant.

Waldorf Astoria Spa

Last stop on the tour is the Waldorf. Love this place because it doesn't look like anything else we've seen on the tour, totally different vibe, very quiet, like the Shinning quiet, ultra elegant and has a skybar with a 180 degree scenic view of the Strip. Better yet, no dress code, no reservations. It's easily one of the most relaxing bars and lounges on the Vegas Strip, any day of the week. Also, you never know who's in this place.

Eataly

If there's time left or you're looking for food close to the end of the tour, Eataly! Based out of Turin, Italy, this is as close to authentic and genuine Italian in Vegas as it gets. It's an indoor Italian market place full of little Italian street-food stalls, restaurant and Italian market with bakery, pastry shop, coffee shop, gelato and wine store!

Jonathan was an amazing host He took us to so many places that we would never have known were there He was so knowledgable and gave us plenty of tips to save time and money

Jonathan is an amazing and personable guide. He really showed and told us things that I would not have found on my own, like unique eating spots and background information about the different restaurants, shops, and casinos. It felt like we were walking around the city with a friend. The pace of the tour is laid back and the best part is that Jonathan knows how to move around through the casinos tunnels and bridges keeping up out of the heat except when absolutely necessary. Also, I really got the impression that he really likes his city and you can tell that he spends time getting to really know the spots and that made me want to explore more on my own. There is a lot of walking but you can stop for bathroom and snack breaks. We were a smaller group so that was easier to accommodate. I highly recommend doing this tour at the beginning of your stay so that you can revisit some of the spots he highlighted.

Johnathan was the best!! Have your walking shoes on because you’ll need them. It was a great tour of the strip. Johnathan knows all the hot spots and shows hidden speakeasy’s and places you’d never know existed. I did this tour on my last day in town. I can’t wait to go back and try all the restaurants he pointed out. Great sightseeing tour! You won’t be disappointed.

This is the second time I've explored the Vegas strip with Jonathan. The first time I was filling an afternoon before seeing Taylor Swift in concert. This time I was traveling with a friend from Michigan and we filled an afternoon before seeing Dead & Company at the Sphere. Both tours were perfect. As was the case last time, Jonathan was on time, and he promptly set the four of us on a walking tour of the hotels, dive bars, speakeasys, and casinos that populate the Las Vegas strip. Jonathan knows his way - and by following him we became insiders, among the few that actually know how to find a rare book store, a $3.00 beer, and a 24-hour Walgreens. Jonathan is easy to understand, he takes into account our limitations as +60-year olds who want to take pictures everywhere. He also brings to our attention how the Strip has evolved; where it was at the beginning, where it was 20 years ago, where it is today, and where it's heading. Both times that I've taken the tour the path was pretty much the same, but each time there were differences - this time we saw what Dead & Company was bringing to the Strip at the Venetian (there's a Dead & Co. experience there that was well worth revisiting after our tour with Jonathan ended). He provided excellent recommendations for how to spend our time in Las Vegas, where to find reasonably priced meals and drinks, and gave us a great way to spend half a day awaiting our show.

I had a great time on this tour. Jonathan knew a lot of great and hidden away spots and had a lot of interesting stories to share along the way. My favorite spots were the Venetian, the gardens at the Flamingo, the botanical gardens at the Bellagio and the counter shops at the Eataly, to name a few. Lots of great suggestions for places to eat. The tour was well worth the price.

Jonathan was excellent interacting with a very diverse group. I did an early tour with my teenage son and we both enjoyed it. We saw so many things that even my friends who go to Vegas frequently were amazed that we saw so much! We ran into Jonathan the next day and he remembered us and checked to see how everything was going. If you’re good to WALK and interested in cool stuff on the strip you won’t go wrong with this tour.

Jonathan was an excellent guide. He guided us through the most important spots on the Strip (and some not so important but very interesting ones) while at the same time giving us the right amount of information about the places we visited. I am glad I took the tour and now I feel confident knowing my way around the Strip.

csimpso6

Jonathon was an excellent guide. His tour is the perfect way to start off your trip in Las Vegas. He provided excellent tips on the best way to eat some of the great food in Vegas in an economical way. He also provided interesting facts about Vegas. He showed the best way to walk down the strip without roasting in the sun. After the tour he sent us the names and locations of everywhere that we went. He went above and beyond and provided his contact information in case we had any other questions during our time in Vegas.
