Your Itinerary

Bibury

Our first stop is Bibury, where we will visit the famous cottages on Arlington Row, walk around the marsh looking out for birds and shop for gifts and souvenirs whilst trying to spot some of the incredible, bright blue trout at Bibury Trout Farm.

Bourton-on-the-Water

Our second stop is Bourton on the Water, also known as 'Venice of the Cotswolds', thanks to the stone bridges that cross the River Windrush as it flows through the centre of the village. Here you will have time to browse the boutique shops nestled amongst the quaint streets on both sides of the river, or indulge in a cup of tea and a scone.

Lower Slaughter

Lower Slaughter is known as the most idyllic village in the Cotswolds and upon arrival, you will immediately understand why. A beautiful manor house overlooks the village, and a quintessential Cotswolds inn nestled in the corner of the village is where we will stop for lunch. Please note, the cost of your lunch is not included in the tour price, and lunch itself is completely optional.

Upper Slaughter

(Pass by)

After enjoying lunch and a walk around Lower Slaughter, we will pass though Upper Slaughter on our way to Broadway.

Broadway

Here we will walk the wide High Street together and learn why Broadway became an important location for the Arts and Crafts Movement. Then, you will be allowed to roam free and explore the shops, museum, village green and plentiful tea rooms and cafes.

Broadway Tower

After visiting the village of Broadway, we will drive up Fish Hill to Broadway Tower; a fascinating and historic folly designed by Capability Brown. Please note, we will not be allowed to enter to tower, nor use the steps to the top.

Stow-on-the-Wold

On our way back to Kemble Train Station, we will visit the highest town in the Cotswolds, Stow on the Wold. Here you will learn about medieval crime and punishment, see the market square where up to 20,000 sheep were traded each day and have a chance to visit Englands' oldest Inn, The Porch House. Please note, as traffic can be busy in and around this town, it is sometimes not possible to stop and explore. In this instance, we will pass through Stow on the Wold without stopping.

If you are considering touring the Cotswolds, I highly recommend a privately guided tour by Nathan. He was extremely flexible and accommodating when we had to adjust our schedule. His love for the area, which happens to be where he grew up, is reflected in the detail of the history he shares throughout the many stops. Nathan’s kindness and excitement resonated in everything he shared along our journey, and he took his time to ensure we soaked up the atmosphere of the quaint villages and beautiful countryside. Our day flew by, and we were disappointed when it came to an end. We cannot wait to return to this charming region.

The most memorable parts? Everything! Nate arrived on time, made sure we were comfortable, talked to us about what we would like to do and then he set about doing it. He is an authority on the history and geography of the Cotswolds and was able to give us extensive background information on the villages and the places that we visited. I was showing my wife this part of England and she was spell-bound throughout the day. I cannot recommend this tour highly enough.

Nathan was wonderful from the moment he picked us up, he was early and easy to find. Prior to the trip he was very communicative and answered all our questions. He is incredibly knowledgeable on the Cotswolds and told us great stories throughout the day. Each stop was fantastic. The day was so great we wished we could be in the Cotswolds for longer. This was a wonderful day trip from London and will definitely recommend to all of your friends who visit! Come visit us in the states! - Zoe, Amanda, Brooke, Jess & Sammi

Nathan was fantastic! From the moment we reached out to him to inquire about the Cotswolds experience, he was very warm, friendly and accommodating in his emails and we felt he would be a great fit. He picked us up at our lodgings in his lovely Alpina and he was just so personable and cheerful. We spent the day exploring various villages in the Cotswolds and he regaled us with stories and details. We were very appreciative of his time making sure we could understand him (we both have hearing loss) but he was just great to communicate with. Each village is just breathtaking in its own way and each has its own vibe as well. We felt like we were in a movie! We opted to do lunch and he took us to a quaint pub in Broadway and we had a lovely time talking over delicious food. The curry dish was out of the world! The Alpina was such a smooth and comfortable ride navigating through tight and narrow roads and we never felt a bump. The seats were buttery smooth and he provided us with water bottles throughout the ride. He always checked in with us to make sure we were comfortable and to let us know we could stop and take photos. Nathan has a great sense of humor and is very easygoing person to show you around in his backyard as he grew up in the Cotswolds! We ended the day feeling like friends and we truly had a magical day exploring the Cotswolds-much gratitude to this wonderful guide named Nathan and we highly recommend him! Just book him and you will have a fantastic experience!

The Cotswolds is a magical place and going on this tour with Nathan made it that much better! Nathan is a fantastic tour guide who is great at sharing the history and stories of the Cotswolds. He is so friendly and it’s clear he enjoys showing off the beautiful place he knows so well.

This is hands down the best tour I have ever taken. Nathan clearly loves the Cotswolds and has done in amazing job of curating a tour that shows off this incredibly magical place. He is a personable storyteller and well informed historian of the area.

Our first visit to the Cotswolds was great! Our tour guide, Nathan, picked us up from our hotel in the Cotswolds in a prisitine BMW Alpina (very cool if you're a car guy/gal) and took us all around the Cotswolds. He was so friendly and knowledgeable. Can't recommend this tour enough to people who want a friendly tour guide who knows all the greatest spots throughout the Cotswolds!

Where do I begin?! We had the most amazing 10/10 day with Nathan in the Cotswolds. He arrived to pick us up right on time from our hotel in his gorgeous car and was so kind, gracious, funny, thoughtful, and so very knowledgeable about The Cotswolds. It was love at first sight with all the villages we visited and Nathan had great stories of each place. He took photos for us the entire day, and he took us to a delicious lunch restaurant which we all enjoyed. It felt more like spending the day with a friend than a tour guide. If you are looking for an unforgettable day in the Cotswolds, do not hesitate to book this tour! This will be your most favourite holiday memory by far. We cannot wait to come back again and visit!

I had a great day in the Cotswolds. Nathan is a handsome young man, a wonderful guide , a helpful friend and a great photographer. He knows everything about the Cotswolds and told me a lot about the beautiful villages because he himself was born and raised there. He has also been to some great parts of the world so he can introduce Cotswold in a better way than other guides might do. I really enjoyed my tour and definitely recommend it.
