Los Cristianos Harbour

PASSPORTS IMPORTANT !!! We depart from your hotel at approximately 07:00 AM to the port of Los Cristianos. There the ferry of the company "Fred Olsen" will be waiting for us to take us to San Sebastián de La Gomera, the capital of the island.

Admission Included

Roque de Agando

Once in La Gomera, we will take the southern route and make a brief stop next to the Roque de Agando, a curious rock formation typical of the island. Its origin is the magma of the volcanoes that shaped the island and which, over time, has been eroded to what we can see today. It is a unique witness to what happened on La Gomera millions of years ago and offers spectacular views, especially from the base of the Roque.

Parque Nacional de Garajonay

We will continue to the heart of the Garajonay National Park, which contains one of the most important laurel forests in the Canary Islands and, therefore, in the world. It was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1986. We will take a leisurely stroll through the forests of the National Park, witnessing the contrast between the lush evergreen forest and the surrounding arid landscapes of the island. An authentic relic of the past that preserves part of the flora that inhabited the Mediterranean lands during the Cenozoic Era (formerly known as the Tertiary Era) and that disappeared from continental Europe due to climatic changes that hardly affected the islands due to their remote geographical location. A unique experience where you will feel a powerful connection with the majesty and tranquillity of wild nature.

Admission Included

Las Rosas

We will continue our route through Agulo, a beautiful northern municipality open to the Atlantic Ocean, with the peak of El Teide always present in its landscape. This is the smallest municipality on the island of La Gomera, nestled at the foot of a great basalt wall and forming a beautiful green "balcony" overlooking the sea. This village is considered to be "El bombón de La Gomera" (The sweet of La Gomera) thanks to its undeniable attractiveness and its well-kept appearance. Agulo is full of pleasant cobbled streets and beautiful tiled houses with vegetable gardens around them.

San Sebastian de la Gomera

We will return to the island's capital, San Sebastian, a city full of culture and tradition. Its old town has more than five hundred years of history. The traces of Christopher Columbus' discovery of the "New World" and the conquest of the island by the kingdom of Castile make San Sebastian a unique and special place in the Canary Islands and in the history of civilisation.

Torre Del Conde

In San Sebastian, as traces of its history, the Torre del Conde, a fortress of medieval origin and the oldest preserved construction on the islands, stands out.

Church of the Assumption

The church of Nuestra Señora de la Asunción, where we can delight in the result of the mixture of Gothic and Canarian styles, a true museum of sacred art; the hermitage of San Sebastián, built around 1530 or the so-called Casa de la Aguada, with its well, from which legend has it that Christopher Columbus took the water with which the new continent was baptised. San Sebastián de La Gomera keeps the island's patron saint, the Virgin of Guadalupe, in her hermitage in Puntallana. Every five years she goes out in procession to all the municipalities of La Gomera, attracting thousands of faithful and curious people to her festivities. San Sebastián is an exceptional place with very good examples of its past. It is dotted with beautiful buildings of traditional Canarian architecture, with architectural examples that reveal the great religious, social, political and military activity that has been the main feature of this settlement for more than five centuries.

The trip was great. The bus is comfortable and the guide very friendly. Plus he was able to provide us with a lot of information (local food, history, etc.) The lunch was also included and good. Plus the people at the restaurant can show you the way the people speak to each other, by whistling.

I really recommend this day trip. Great setup and everything went smoothly. La Gomera has extraordinary nature and the places we visited were spectacular. The guide was also very friendly and helpful.

My wife was ill every time she went on the coach in La Gomera. She vomited over 10 times. The coach was not fit for purpose and the air-conditioning didn't work, evidently the driver and the tour guide (who were both excellent) have complained about this to the owners. The brake underload valve kept discharging which as a mechanic just questions the maintenance of the coach. No idea what the food or the attractions were like as we missed them all due to my wife being sick.

I am not one to indulge in superlatives but this was the best trip I have taken of many in the Canaries and the only one I will surely repeat . The trip began with a pleasant ride on a modern and comfortable ferry to San Sebastian. A coach took us through the island visiting its varied landscapes along mountain roads with a safe and skillful driver. Highlights were the views back across to Teide, the volcanic chimneys and especially the walk through the cloud forest. The trip was made special by our informative and knowledgeable guide ( Eduardo ? Sorry if I got it wrong ). He conveyed his love and passion for the island and shared this in several languages. Top guy.

The guide was suppose to speak English, German and French. She did not speak English. It was like she had to klap through the words like a child in kindergarten. Sometimes she only spoke the letter, because she could speak the words. Some of the French guests were outright laughing at her. So probably French isn't something she knows either. I do not wish otter people to waste a day on LA Gomera with that travel agency. So please stay away from them. I did complain to the travel agent. That did not get her send back too school. Ore fired. I mean really she should not have that job 😲

We really enjoyed this tour to La Gomera, home of our guide Tony who was an excellent and very knowledgeable guide. The tour showcases mostly beautiful vistas and historical sights. There is an excellent lunch served halfway through the tour with a wonderful demonstration of La Gomera’s whistling language. Here are a few things you might want to consider before taking the tour though. The tour involves a ferry ride to the island and getting on and off the ferry is a steep climb. Same with getting in and out of the tour bus. The bus is large and drives on narrow winding roads and switchbacks so might not be for folks that get car sick without medication. And lastly this is a long tour, a full day. While I really enjoyed the tour, it was more time on a bus than I liked but we don’t do many bus tours so maybe that is how bus tours are. I don’t want to discourage anyone from the tour because it was great and Tony was wonderful! Just know now your physical limitations before booking if you want to fully experience La Gomera.

Yaiza was absolutely fantastic. We were enthralled with the fantastic scenery. Yaiza made the trip with her wonderful sense of humour and our driver was amazing. The island was incredible and we will go back time and again. Lunch was provided and really tasty. It was a great way to spend our anniversary

Yaiza was a wonderful tour guide who is friendly, professional, knowledgeable. Her command of all the different languages was excellent. The tour itself was good but felt wasn't value for money as the time spent on the bus was too long and not enough time at the stops, especially lunch and San Sebastian.

Yaiza was an excellent tour guide explaining everything driver also excellent I enjoyed the trip would have liked more time in Saint Sebastian.

The La Gomera trip with Tamaran was a great experience! Our tour guide, Terry, was fun, energetic, and entertaining, the entire tour of the Island. We had booked the trip through our TUI Hotel, which made this process so much easier. **MAKE SURE TO BRING YOUR PASSPORT WITH YOU, AS GOING FROM TENERIFE TO LA GOMERA REQUIRES THIS** You take a ferry boat from Tenerife to La Gomera, and then it's an entire day of windy, narrow roads in a 4x4 SUV. If you easily get motion sick like I do, make certain to bring medication with you! Otherwise, it might be an unhappy moment for everyone. The tour lasts all day, and there are plenty of stops to get out, stretch your legs, take photos, and enjoy the scenery. Lunch is also included on the tour. My wife and I had the vegetarian meal which consisted of a bread, salad, and a great potato dish. Tamaran will pick you up and drop you off at your hotel, safe and sound. I recommend this company for future trips.
