We were picked up at our hotel on time, The train was fun, the Grand Canyon was spectacular and our tour guide Al was fantastic. Great stories and informal!

We were a family of 2 adults and 3 college kids and this tour just wasn't a good fit for us. It felt more like transportation than a tour. Very little time at the actual Grand Canyon. We chose the option that included the train and so glad we did. The train ride portion of the day was enjoyable. Paying extra for first class well worth it. It was scheduled as an 11 hour day. We were picked up at our hotel and after several stops getting others and a bathroom stop we were dropped off at the train station. Our guide was efficient and got our tickets and explained things well. She also was waiting at our train car when we arrived at the grand canyon. Our disappointment was the amount of time spent at the actual Grand Canyon. We had 10 minutes after getting off the train for a quick look before jumping on the van. Then two more 10 minute stops at viewing sites plus one 30 minute stop at the last viewing site so people could use the restroom. Out of the planned 11 hour day we got only 1 hour of Grand Canyon viewing time. There was also a 30 minute stop at a cafeteria for food. The tour guide felt like a safe driver and was very timely. Good communication. She was fairly informative but we learned as much about her personal life as we did the area. Having someone else drive and learning about the area was great but I wouldn't take this particular tour again. My hotel was a little over 2 hours from the Grand Canyon so spending a 10 - 11 hour day to see it for 1 hour was disappointing. If we ever make it back we will probably just drive up so we can walk around and explore. If you are looking for virtually no walking and lots of bathroom stops this would be a good pick. Recommend it for an older crowd.

The tour was excellent, great information, lots to see and perfectly timed. The train was slow, but nice 1st class accommodations with excellent staff and a guitarist who sang and entertained us.

This was our first tour of this kind and I booked it with some reluctance. My husband and I like the independence of driving ourselves but having never been to the Grand Canyon, we decided to sign up for the tour. Our tour guide Andrea picked us up at 7am as planned. We were 2 of 10 adults who were picked up along 4 stops in Sedona. Andrea was great! Very knowledgeable about Northern Arizona—its geography, history, ecologies, etc. She narrated interesting facts on the 1 1/2 hour drive to Williams. She is charming and entertaining. We boarded the train in Williams for a 2 1/4 hour ride to the Grand Canyon. The train doesn’t travel over about 35 miles per hour but the views are amazing and the service was great in our first class car. We just relaxed and settled in for the ride.We arrived at the Grand Canyon Visitor Center at 11:45, right on the rim. We walked the rim path and grabbed a sandwich. Andrea picked us up at the train depot at 1 pm and drove us to multiple viewing spots around the perimeter of the Grand Canyon where we all got out of the van, walked around and took photos. After leaving the Grand Canyon, we drove to the Navaho Nation outpost for shopping. I do not remember this stop being mentioned on the website when I booked this tour and would definitely have preferred to skip it and go directly back to our hotel. We were dropped off at 5:30 pm — a 10 1/2 hour round trip. Happy we did this tour with Andrea. Will be more careful in understanding all aspects of a tour before signing up for another one.

The views of the Grand Canyon are awesome! And our guide took us to less traveled places for extensive views! JR is the best!! His stories bring Sedona and the Grand Canyon to life!

Brad Hammer provided a wealth of knowledge. He was personable, considerate and took our group to the most majestic views at each stop. Brad made our tour memorable and the highlight of our stay in Sedona.

This is a van tour with a one way train ride in the middle. If you want to take the train to the Grand Canyon, book it yourself and drive to Williams right out of Flagstaff yourself. About 3 hours at the park so if you want more, drive to the park. It’s all day and then some for first timers

Disappointed in train ride. Nothing to see. Advertised as Grand Canyon tour but saw nothing until last stop. Would we do train again. No. Rest of day with guide Andrea was excellent.

We had a wonderful time with Anne. We had never been to the Grand Canyon - truly spectacular. Anne took us to 4 or 5 stops and had great knowledge of the canyon and the areas along the trip. Lunch was lovely. Really enjoyed having the flexibility to stop at many places on our own pace. She also had great local recommendations in Sedona.

My husband and I took this tour with Brad and really enjoyed it. We were picked up at our hotel and dropped off at the train depot in Williams to board the Grand Canyon Railway. Brad helped us secure our tickets and made sure we knew where to meet him once we arrived at the Grand Canyon. We rode in the Luxury Dome car of the train and it was a very relaxing ride. Once at the Grand Canyon, we rejoined Brad and our group and made 4 stops at different points around the Canyon. The scenery was amazing and it was nice having an expert drive us around so we didn't have to navigate the roads ourselves. On the way back to Sedona, we stopped at Cameron Trading Post on a Native American reservation where we could shop for trinkets that were authentically made. Brad was full of great information and we walked away knowing more about the canyon as well as the Native Americans and history of the area. Highly recommend this tour!
