Good knowledgeable guide who spoke good English. The tour lasted longer than agreed and is not suitable for children under 12-13 years old.

Very nice tour with a very knowledgeable guide who lives in the city and is familiar with its history.

We all thoroughly enjoyed our bike tour of Berlin with Marcus our guide. It gave us so much information about the history and covered all the main sights as well as showing us a side of Berlin we would not have seen as we cycled through many different very interesting and pretty areas. All done on the wonderful traditional ‘City bikes’.

The booking was cancelled at short notice and we were not informed by the company or Trip Advisor. We had travelled across the city for a much-anticipated tour of the city by bike

Small group and very informative about life and living in East Berlin before and after the wall came down. Also a great way to understand the layout of the city. Our guide Katrine was brilliant and fun.

Our bike tour of central Berlin with Fat Tires was superb. Jim was our guide and he is fantastic at his job. Being a former school teacher and also a historian makes him ideally suited to the role. It takes two qualities to reach Jim’s standard and they are knowledge and delivery. He knows his subject in fascinating detail and his delivery is very clear and engaging. All good presenters understand the importance of interacting with their audience and he does that perfectly. Plus his complete enthusiasm for his subject was keenly shared by his audience. Jim could well consider making and selling a series of documentary DVDs on all aspects of Berlin’s history. All he needs is a friend to point the camera at him and he will perform. And after Berlin? That’s up to you, Jim.

Our tour guide Katrin is a lovely human. Tours are always less than 8 people per their website, and mine only consisted of 5 people. Katrin is very knowledgeable about the history of Berlin: especially about the west/east divide in which she grew up in. It is a fairly long ride; the only potentially tough part is the final hill. We saw many of the regular touristy sites on the "Half-Day Guided Bike Tour of Central Berlin's Highlights", along with some other local Berlin gems. I would highly recommend doing.

We booked a half day tour, the location was easy enough to find. Our guide Katrin was fantastic! She’s quite knowledgeable in Berlin’s history, and was very good at explaining things to us. You don’t have to be an experienced cyclist, as there is a lot of stopping and site seeing along the way. Berlin’s motorist are very patient, and excessive caution with bicycle riders. I would highly recommend Katrin and her team, as it’s the best way to see a Berlin (by bike) you’ll other wise never see.

Best activity I did in Berlin and perhaps in any new city that I’ve visited in a very long time. The folks at Fat Tyre have organized this whole operation with utter precision, and yet it feels incredibly personalized. I thought my Canadian-born, bilingual tour guide, Julian, was good enough to serve as a history professor at the college level. He projected exceptionally well, and his ability to transmit knowledge about the neighborhoods, buildings, experiences, and lifestyle of those in Berlin throughout the 20th century until present day was phenomenal. He wasn’t just a talking head or stand-up comedian. I really felt like I learned a lot about this amazing city, and I owe it to Julian and his knack for delivering a wealth of information in a charismatic way that makes people care. The bikes themselves were all in good shape. We did not receive helmets as advertised, not that I really missed them, although a few of us did fall in the latter portions of the tour (not surprisingly after the beer garden stop), and my colleague even bumped her head falling on a tour a few days later. Time flew by on the tour. We saw so much, and I was never bored. Nobody had trouble keeping up as Berlin is flat, and the group stops frequently to learn about local sites. I was actually disappointed when it was over because I had to get back on my less efficient two feet and wander aimlessly around the city with nobody to call out areas of historical significance. For 37€, not including lunch, this was nothing short of a bargain. Highly highly recommended!

What a great way to see the city. Our tour guide was French, her English excellent, and the inclusiveness of the tour complete. The tour, including about hour for lunch, took over 5 hours, and it was worth the time, Not only did we see the city's highlights, we saw residential areas that I would not otherwise have seen. I always try to do a bike tour of a large city which time allows, and this was exactly what I expected. Well worth the reasonable cost.
