The highlight of our day was hearing so many stories form our guide. It helped get oriented to the beautiful park. Marty knows history so well that it all came alive.

Rick was an absolute delight the entire time. Extremely knowledgeable and very informative. At the end he asked if the tour changed our understanding of the historical events. Based on our response he would then go deeper into the topic. Even followed up afterwards with the answer to a question he didnt have the answer for at the time. Rick is the real deal and an absolute pro.

This was a wonderful tour in so many ways. First, we were the only guests on the tour, which gave us more time to ask questions and learn about the troops' winter at Valley Forge. Second, it was a beautiful day for a tour and we were able to get out and enjoy the area. Third, and most important, James was a fantastic guide/host. A native Pennsylvanian with a PhD in history, he was very knowledgable about the history of the Revolutionary War era. His information was detailed in giving us a good sense of the importance of Valley Forge and he helped us better understand events of the Revolutionary time period. History can be dull if it's only a series of dates and battles. James made it very interesting and shared info in a way that encouraged questions. The time flew by and, at the end of the tour, James gave us information on additional "must see" places in Philadelphia. I would be happy to go on additional tours with James as our expert guide!

Dale gave us a wonderful tour-knowledgeable, interesting and fun. He was courteous and friendly and very patient (given my need to use two canes. His landscape architecture background and in depth knowledge of the area added depth to his presentation.

Whole tour was informative, interesting and particularly apt for Memorial Day. If they had given up there would be no US. The guide was knowledgeable and helpful at all times to me and two adult daughters. He also kept his cool during a horrible traffic jam on our return trip.
