This tour was great for learning the history of New Orleans. The guy Jay was great. However I thought it would be more off van photo opts. 95% of pictures were taken on the van. The photos posted were at one of two off van stops.

Leader Jay made it, knocked it outa the park: his combo of knowledge, down home humor & wisdom, entertainment, pacing, passion about NO with the stuff he showed & told us about? Home run. He helped clarify what was tourist b.s. vs. real deal NO inside places. From Studio Be to Loretta's to desegregation to restaurants, great. Thanks, Jay! Only suggestion is for a grand slam, do a bit less on Katrina and more on Cajun culture & other NO realities & history. Still, home run.

I learned a lot of authentic New Orleans history. The tour was personable and informative. Jay also had a great sense of humor. Bonus was the restaurant recommendations!!! FYI, thanks to Jay, I’m a fan of Loretta’s Benignets.

Heartfelt tour from Jay who shared history, information and art that impacts lives. Studio Be was beyond expectation. Would’ve loved a few more minutes there. The art speaks. The history of Katrina remains current with visible damage continuing 19 years later. Jay gave recommendations to the French Market and various businesses. It was good to get away from Bourbon Street.

Details of new orleanians art, history, culture amd pride, this was an exceptional experience. Stopping to get out and view art and historical landmarks was along with the videos played as we toured on the bus was such a gift. I will be taking this tour again with my family when they come. I went to Morrows and got the redfish/shrimp barbque sauce that was suggested, it was amazing!!! (If you park in the lot directly at the pick up spot [RED P] make sure you pay for 3hrs or renew when they notify you via text your time is running out I returned 12min late and had a boot on my vehicle $130 to remove)

We had an amazing time on this tour. Our tour guide, Jay, was super knowledgeable about New Orleans culture and history! I don’t want to spoil it for you so I’ll just say BOOK THE TOUR!!

The Urban Culture tour was really great and Jay was an amazing guide. We learned so much and I personally appreciate the information about the impact of Hurricane Katrina and how 19 years later, there’s still significant impact to the city and the people. This tour showed us some non-touristy areas and made it so we could understand the people, history, and culture.
