We enjoyed walking all the way up. It's worth a stop to see the movie. It is in Italian of course, but there are English subtitles. Worth the 5 minutes to hear the history. They have a system of stop lights (red and green) to show if you can proceed up or not. The system works because the stairway is so thin, only 1 person can fit at one time. Going up they also have stops along the way so you can read about different things and rest if you want!

This was an amazing experience, climbing up the bell tower gave incredible views of the beautiful city of Cremona. The baptistery was equally amazing.

We decided on a day trip to Cremona with a typical lunch in a restaurant just outside Cremona. A visit to the Town Hall square and the church in front of it and its Torrazzo is a must, with an associated passage to the Baptistery and Diocesan Museum. The climb to the top of the Torrazzo (the tallest tower in Europe) can be done quite easily, even for the two or three tactical stops at the intermediate rooms with displays of watches, machines and parts and reconstructions of everything related with the astronomical clock (very interesting and wonderful) which is on the external façade of the Torrazzo and video documentaries that help you catch your breath and enjoy the view as you reach the top floor of the tower. From here the view is over the entire city and 360 degrees, as far as the eye can see, if the day is clear and permitting, for the entire surrounding area. I would then say that with the visit to the Cathedral, the Baptistery and the Diocesan Museum, the cumulative ticket cost is €10.00. The day could end with satisfaction and fullness for everything seen and learned, having enriched one's cultural background, relaxed the mind and satisfied the palate with a good lunch in any restaurant in the city or just outside. Recommended for a simple and undemanding but satisfying day!!!

Very interesting visit, there are 512 steps but they are quite easy to climb, also because you can stop on the various floors. Stunning the gears on the clock surface. Stunning views on all sides of Cremona, the ticket price is absolutely worth the visit

502 steps both up and down but it has to be done. Nice experience with various stages visiting exhibitions on various floors. The view from the top of Torrazzo is beautiful.

The staff were very kind and welcoming. The visit to Torrazzo is exciting and interesting especially for the historic clock inside. Fantastic view at the top of the tower. Highly recommended

The Torrazzo is one of the tallest medieval bell towers in Europe (112.54 metres). From outside we admire the splendid largest astronomical clock in the world, on the fourth floor of the tower. Built by Francesco and Giovan Battista Divizioli between the years 1583-1588, the clock represents the celestial vault with the zodiac constellations crossed by the motion of the Sun and the Moon. The climb has 502 steps but is well organized with rooms to stop and interesting museum displays on each floor to break up the long climb. In the Quadrant Room and in the Mechanism Room it is possible to admire all the characteristics of the functioning of the astronomical clock. In the Measurement of Time Room, the history of human perception of time is illustrated through the reconstruction of ancient measuring instruments and various types of clocks. The Astronomy Room is dedicated to the study of celestial bodies and features a fantastic installation of Foucault's pendulum. During the climb there were windows where you can observe a beautiful panorama of the city. To reach the belfry you have to climb several narrow steps of a spiral staircase and there is also a traffic light that tells the visitor when he can go up.
