This was the 3rd time we have taken the Shaolin to go snorkeling at Low Isles off Port Douglas. It is the best day our for young and old. You mosey out to the Low Isles with a small number of other passengers taking about 75 minutes and well cared for by the captain and 2 crew members. Take in the great vistas and chilled vibes of the Shaolin. The snorkeling at Low Isles I rate having snorkelled in multiple places on the reef over the years. This trip we saw it all: swam with the turtles and a school of travelli; saw amazing colouful fish and coral and clam shells of all shapes and sizes; saw harmless reef sharks; and much more. The snorkeling gear provided by the Shaolin is top notch as are the tips, advice and tour to see the most. Morning tea is provided after about an hour of snokelling and then back into the water for some more snorkeling (you can also take a short tour of the island courtesy of the knowledgeable captain). A great lunch is provided back on the Shalin at 2 pm after which you return to Port Douglas totally relaxed. Highly recommended, great day for families too!

Chilled music and lying on deck (snoozing on way back), stunning reef, so much wildlife (lost count of turtles, swam with sharks), interesting island tour, great food, good commentary . Would do again in heartbeat. Happy start to finish.

If your looking for more one on one interaction, this is your charter! We had 7 off us including a 8 year old on the snorkel tour to The Lowe Isles. Was an absolute amazing experience with a huge shout out to Dani who made sure my young niece had a great experience learning how to snorkel, when she was scared at the the very beginning, by the end of the afternoon, Dani had her snorkelling all the way out to the boat from the island shore! Rob was super informative and experienced so we all felt safe in his hands! All the food was delicious including the local prawns we had for lunch! The boat was super cool with great history, and we all enjoy walking around the edges and lazing on the front deck! Thanks guys for making our port Douglas holiday one to remember 😀😀😀😀😀😀

Fantastic day out on Shaolin for the Low Isles sail and snorkel trip. Nice spacious boat and we were lucky to be part of a small group of only 7. The boat itself has an incredible history, make sure to ask the skipper about it. Rob was an amazing skipper, very knowledgeable of the local area and provided great commentary and stories throughout the day! Special thanks to Dani for being an excellent host and making the snorkeling very enjoyable! Rob’s island walk on Low Isles was excellent and very informative. We were so impressed with Rob and Dani we booked onto the Lady Douglas river tour a few days later where we managed to see a saltwater crocodile in its natural habitat! Would recommend these guys to everyone! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This was the best day out. Beautiful sail out to Low Island for some snorkelling with 2 amazing and accommodating hosts Dani the hostess and snorkelling guide and Rob our amazing captain. Rob also took us for a guided tour of Low Island. Dani also pointed out the highlights of the reef while we were snorkelling. We saw reef tip sharks and turtles. There were Beautiful pastries on arrival, snacks on the island and a yummy fresh buffet lunch. A day out that won't disappoint.

A great day out of exploring Low Island and snorkelling with the 100's of different variety of fish and coral. We saw lots of reef sharks that we swam with safely as they wont harm you.The turtles were great to see as well. We were taken on a island tour and got to see the care takers place, museum and light house. The staff and skipper were great and I would highly recommend this tour.

The best reef tour you can do, review from a local that has done many tours and i have been back to do this one twice and will be back again. Don't take the big boats that blast u out to the reef and herd u around like sheep. Take an adventure on a historic boat feel the wind in your hair and breathe the life it has lived on its travels. The crew skipper Flin and Tayler were exceptional, every attention to detail is covered with a vast knowledge that they willing share to make the whole experience 10*

We felt very lucky to join Flynn, Taylor and Danni on the wonderful junk, Shaolin for a day out to the Low Isles. There are only 13 passengers on board versus the big crowded megayachts, so this is recommended for anyone who likes to get to the islands a bit earlier to avoid the crowds. As experienced snorkellers we were able to go in on our own for a great snorkel - the reef is quite extensive so you don't have to go far though. Loads of large and beautiful fish - a huge Giant Triggerfish, Parrotfish, Wrasse, Butterfly and Angelfish, Black tip reef sharks and turtles. The coral looks in good shape too. For anyone who has not snorkelled before, there is helpful guidance. Catering was excellent - a very good buffet lunch with a drink included and morning/afternoon tea provided. An interesting, informative tour of the island is also available. The happy, friendly team made sure we all had a great day. Thank you!
