Remember to bring your camera or Smartphone! Depart from the Plaza de Oriente towards the magnificent Puerta de Toledo. Did you know that its construction dates from the Napoleonic occupation era? Once again on the bus you will be able to contemplate the oldest bridge in Madrid and, next to the Manzanares river, you will have spectacular views of the Royal Palace and the Almudena Cathedral. Cross Calle Mayor towards Puerta del Sol and Las Cortes on your way to Paseo del Prado. Admire the architecture of the heart of old Madrid arriving at the Barrio de las Letras.

Con el tema de las obras la visita está muy restringida. Ya habíamos leído que habría cosas que no se podrían visitar por este tema, pero la verdad es que si llego a saber que íbamos a ver sólo lo que vimos me hubiera ahorrado la visita. Sólo vimos lo que es el museo con sus trofeos y de allí a las gradas. Desde donde pudimos ver el cesped bajo las máquinas que lo mantienen y las gradas medio derruidas por las obras. Supongo que dentro de un par de años todo quedará chulísimo pero ahora mismo no recomiendo pagar entrada para ver lo que se ve.
