Our guide, Tiffany, was very knowledgable and entertaining. She was a talented storyteller and knew how to make all the history entertaining.

Our "Murder by Gaslight" tour in Austin was an ABSOLUTE DISASTER. I have taken many ghost tours, and I have NEVER experienced such a wretched train-wreck! We were instructed to arrive 15-minutes early to check in. The entire tour group arrived at the meet-location but our guide was not there. So we waited. After calling their office, the tour guide (Britt) finally showed up 23-minutes late to start the check-in process and go over the rules -- but she was slurring and rambling. I talked with several others on the tour and we all agreed she was drunk. When the tour FINALLY got rolling, we only visited three locations (of the 90-minute tour) before Britt called the tour off short!! She kept needing to sit and rest (perhaps to sober up?) and there was VERY LITTLE actual paranormal content discussed. She kept sidetracking into current city events and socio-political commentary. She abruptly ended the tour by taking us to the observation deck at The Weston. And, while I appreciated the city view, The Weston has NO haunted history relevance (I asked her) and I was not sure why she took us there. Again, I do appreciate the view, but that is NOT what the tour was supposed to be! When she disappeared somewhere, me and my friend decided to DITCH the remainder of the tour because it was not only not fun -- it was downright cringe-inducing. I spent the entire time getting the guide back on track every time she went on tangents. It was exhausting! So, in summary: she showed up late and drunk, she talked very little about the thing we paid for, she kept needing to take sit-down breaks, and she ended the tour early. And I had to continually WORK to keep her focused. This was hands-down the WORST tour experience I have ever had to the point where I reached out to the tour company and TWICE requested a refund and got no response from them. I have never asked for a refund for a tour but I feel like I deserve one for this -- as I feel this is the least they could do for WASTING our time. I actually felt like I was babysitting the tour guide. I don't know why this company would assign her this particular tour when she very clearly didn't know any of the associated legends she was drunkenly attempting to "discuss" with us.

We arrived exactly where they told us to meet. No tour guide present, we waited a while and called the number provided before leaning. What a waste and “no refund” policy shouldn’t apply if your tour guide doesn’t show.

It was like reading an audio book. Visiting the sites of actual incidents are fine but need more hands-on experience to get close to the paranormal activities. Lacks the excitements of the tour.

The guide was very knowledgeable on the history. Never dull or boring, very good story telling. Our visit to the Driskill hotel was our favorite part.

Tiffany was awesome! This was our first Ghost tour and we will definitely be doing more. Very interesting history of some parts of Austin and the stories left us looking over our shoulders! Three words: bone chilling fun!

Tiffany didn’t seem to be fully prepared for the experience at the start. She worked hard to engage us in the stories but we didn’t find it compelling.
