Everybody goes to see Picasso's "Guernica," and they should, but there are many other arresting pieces in the collection, too. The temporary exhibit of Ben Shaun was phenomenal! The building itself is a bit odd, with lots of long hallways between the galleries.

My twin brother Stephen and I were exploring around this part of the city when we decided to check out Reina Sofia Museum. A great looking museum for contemporary artists ,its a big museum, great exhibitions ,tour was grand ,loved it ,if you're in the area its a museum to most definitely check out and easy to locate along Calle De Santa Isabel.

Be clear where the tour starts. Along with another family, we stood next to a statue outside the front door of the museum. The meeting spot was, from what we could tell, on the street entrance. We paid for an English only tour. We got a English/Spanish tour. Because the guide spent the entire time translating everything she said, she rushed through her presentation and refused to take any questions. We were allowed to stay in the museum after the tour. However, due to circumstances beyond our control, we have not eaten anything that morning and were very hungry. When we asked the guide the location of the restaurant, she kept giving us directions to sites in the museum. When we explained our situation she replied with “well, if that’s what you want to do.” One star because the guide was knowledgeable. Take off four stars for previous explanation and the guide being rude and snippy.
