This was an excellent way to learn about Nuremberg's history and culture. Our guide Jason did a good job of explaining Nuremberg's story and the culture of the locals, answering all our questions well. The second part of the tour, through the former Nazi rally grounds to the unfinished Congress Hall, was eye-opening and Jason's insights added a lot to the experince. I thoroughly recommend this tour to any visitors to Nuremberg.

Looking through the myriad tours on offer in Nuremberg, this one seemed to tick all the boxes we were looking for: decent timings (advertised 1115-1515) covering the main sites of interest (old town, market, nazi rally grounds, religious monuments and fort etc) and all for an extremely reasonable price (under €30 compared to other "official tours" for over €100 and beyond!). Any reservations about the quality of the tour based on price were quickly vanquished. Our guide Jason was super informative and knowledgeable (obviously a history buff), making it clear he was open and available to all and any questions and he certainly delivered, providing extra insight when called upon and not pretending to know answers to silly or particularly niche ones. You can tell he not only has been doing this a while (still enthusiastic though) but is also invested in what he was explaining. We got round the tour in easy time, returning to the train station almost bang on the finish time but I'm sure the sites and covered aligned with this (as in potentially more minor sites if more time but nothing major was missed out). We weren't rushed but also didn't hang around either. Jason told us all about the history of Nuremberg and other parts of Bavaria and Germany from before the medieval period up until present day, recommending local places to eat for lunch including the local cultural delicacy (small sausages in a roll cooked specially over a coal fire grill). Overall, a great experience, really interesting, not too strenuous, a perfect way to cap off our 5 day trip, and I would happily sign up to any other tours by Jason and this group. Thanks!

Covered a lot of old town with background and took us out and back to the Nazi Rally grounds. We didn’t go in buildings in old town but we had time on the lunch break to stop inside two churches.

The tour guide was fantastic. She knows her history, is passionate about sharing the good/bad with others, etc. And, she took time to point out cultural stuff as well - best sausages, Lebkuchen, etc. If you want a quick 1 hour tour of Nurmberg - this probably isn't the one for you. But if you want to hear more about all aspects of Nurmberg - this is definitely worth it. Elisabeth was great!

Paul was a great guide very knowledgeable and Nuremberg is a must see! You will not regret booking and if you get Paul you are in for a treat.

Pls town Nuremburg portion was good. Paul very engaging and knowledgeable and interactive. Downside was tour advertised at four hours including nazi rally grounds. We based travel on this. Tour was not to end until 5-1/2 hours so we had to miss the nazi ground stop which was main reason we went.

Merissa_d

Paul was an exceptional tour guide. He was highly knowledgeable and made the tour a wonderful experience.

John_B

The guide is excellent. However, caution that this trip is not 4 hours as stated. It is 5+ hours. It also does the Rally Grounds last, not first as described. We had a time constraint of 4.5 hours, so we had to break off early and missed the grounds. The guide did the best he could in making the most of it. We just wish the description fit the tour.

This is an excellent walking tour! We were lucky enough to have Paul as our guide and he was awesome! He was so passionate, knowledgable and well-spoken which made the tour amazing. In addition, Paul has a great and clear voice and he goes out of his way to be heard by everyone in the group. No one missed a word. The lunch at Bratwursthausle was phenomenal as well.

Jacob_K

Great, informative tour. I was expecting to see more of the rallying grounds, however. Paul, our guide, was a cheerful and smart lad who spoke loud and clear English.
