Your Itinerary

Place de la Concorde

(Pass by)

A royal square designed by architect Gabriel in the 18th century. In 1792, this square was home to a guillotine that took thousands of victims’ lives. In 1836, King Louis Philippe installed the obelisk, a gift from Egypt.

Louvre Museum

(Pass by)

Constructed as a stronghold in the 13th century, it went on to become the French royal residence and was transformed into a museum in 1793. Today, it displays over 35,000 words of art (Mona Lisa, Venus de Milo...). Since 1989, visitors enter through the glass pyramid, designed by architect Ieoh Ming Pei.

Hotel de Ville

(Pass by)

The neo-renaissance style Hôtel de Ville in Paris was rebuilt in the 19th century after being burnt down during the Commune rule of 1871. Today, it serves as the Paris City Hall.

Conciergerie

(Pass by)

What remains of the palace of the first kings of France, the Conciergerie became a prison during the French Revolution.

Ile de la Cite

(Pass by)

The ‘cradle’ of the city of Paris where its very first inhabitants (the Parisii) settled in the 3rd century BC.

Cathedrale Notre-Dame de Paris

(Pass by)

A jewel of Gothic architecture. Beginning in 1163, construction wasn’t completed until 1350. It was celebrated by Victor Hugo in his famous novel, ‘The Hunchback of Notre-Dame’. We owe the restoration to architect Viollet-Le-Duc who undertook this project in the 19th century.

Ile Saint-Louis

(Pass by)

Formerly the île aux vaches (cow’s island), here you’ll find the most beautiful 16th and 17th century houses, constructed for the most part by architect Le Vau.

Pont-Neuf

(Pass by)

The oldest stone bridge in Paris, it was opened in 1606. At its centre, you can see the equestrian statue of King Henri IV, nicknamed Vert Galant (The Green Gallant) because of his many female conquests.

Musee d'Orsay

(Pass by)

With its façade hinting at its past life as a railway station, constructed in 1900, it today serves as a museum displaying masterpieces of the 19th century, and more precisely, the work of the Impressionists.

Esplanade des Invalides

(Pass by)

Recognisable by its dome adorned in fine gold, it was originally built as a hospital for the war wounded under the reign of Louis XIV. Today, it houses the tomb of Napoleon I and the Musée de l’Armée (Military Museum).

Eiffel Tower

(Pass by)

Nicknamed the ‘Iron Lady’, it was designed by engineer Gustave Eiffel for the 1889 World Exhibition. A genuine feat of engineering, she stands 324 metres high and weighs in at 10,000 tonnes.

Palais de Chaillot

(Pass by)

Built for the 1937 World Exhibition, it houses various museums (the Naval Museum, the Museum of French Monuments, the Museum of Man...)

This trip is not as advertised! Do not expect to see Notre Dame as the boat turned round before we got there. Total chaos when boarding the boat and no safety announcement either. Don’t waste your money on this trip there are much better ones available.

Debra_S

The boat is too big and we could not hear what they were saying Theyvals kept switching languages and it was hard to follow where buildings were

Brent_N

Ticket provided here would not scan and had to be switched out at ticket window. The line was not terribly long so it didn't affect us too much. Walk up tickets would not have been hard to purchase on this particular day. Also, commentary was minimal and not audio device was available or provided.

This was the worst part of our Paris trip. Paris itself offers the sights however, what this tour lacking was service. We were waiting to board with a large group of very loud and obnoxious teenagers from a school trip. We were sandwiched among this group and had to push ourselves through the crowd to get away as my young daughters were becoming anxious and in tears. I was also in tears because the yelling was upsetting my daughters so much. Then the pushing started. As the gates were opened this crowd began pushing to get on and pushed the large group of over 200+ people down stairs to get on. It was so bad I had to yell to stop pushing. Not one single staff person was in sight. I could not believe how negligent and disregarding this tour was. There were elderly people, children and babies in the larger crowd awaiting to board. My children were not the only ones crying. This was an awful experience for us. Once we boarded and set off there was one staff person to be found on deck for hundreds of people, and he only spoke French. This situation had the potential for a very terrible outcome with multiple injuries and there was literally no one there to crowd control or mind the on-boarding process. Terribly operated. As others have mentioned, don’t bother printing off your ticket in the hopes of using the barcode. You will need to go back to the office and trade them for tickets, after waiting in line.

When you are in Paris you must do the boat trip. You will discover Paris from another perspective. The boat is big and you can enjoy the sight seeing from inside and on the deck.

Was a lovely morning cruise and a great way to get a look at some of the most famous Parisian landmarks. We enjoyed it immensely! We arrived in time for the first cruise of the day and had no problem getting on. Very glad we did because the line was extremely long when we returned to dock an hour later!

It was a nice, spacious boat and had a nice route! They give narration of the history of Paris have lots of doom to sit or stand.

TheManfromBourges

Lovely experience - enough time to take some key landmarks in and enjoy the experience. Good, brief commentary on specific places. Good sized bottle of bubbly. Recommend it.

Too many people fighting for seats and bathrooms. Wish I never went on the ride. It’s on the package tour circuit ,The boat was supposed to depart at 10:15 am but actually left at 10:40. It may have been nice 20 years ago, but now it’s an overcrowded, profane way to see Paris.

MiodragM

Perfect organisation!!!! Everything was perfect. Timing was perfect, boat was clean and safe, personal was professional and available every minute.
