Suzanne was an outstanding guide with a detailed knowledge of the cathedral. She showed us many things that we would have missed. Have we not had the personalise guided tour. No hesitation in recommending doing it.

Very cute train! We initially boarded one but about a mile out in broke down. They immediately brought another to “rescue” us. The rest of the ride provided many spectacular views of the city. Definitely give it a try!

A nice ride around Toledo with view of the main monuments. Audio system was not the best and hard to hear.

The train is very puntual at the time, they provide you with the headphones and they have a lot of different languages for you. It is the best way to explore and learn about the city and its history. It is fun as well and for us, it was raining and everything inside the train was dry. Amazing experience.

I have visited Toledo many times, and on many of those visits have rode the zocotrain. The streets of the historic district are generally too narrow for buses, and walking is your best transportation, but the train can easily navigate through all the key areas to give you a feeling for the city. I like the trip up to the parador to see the same view El Greco painted, and to take new pictures of the city from afar. Take the train soon after you arrive, and then walk around taking a closer look at many of the interesting places this international treasure has to offer.

This little ride saves a long walk but does have its pit falls. If you sit on the left side of the carriage the only views are of other peoples heads and you won’t have any photo opportunity. It is pot luck as to whether your little ear plugs work or not. If they do then the commentary is in several languages and comprehensive. Watch out for the long lines of pushy tourist parties and don’t let them shoulder you out of line or barge in front. However, the ride was worth it for the money.

We had a tour with the train and it was great way to go around Toledo. Specially the view point was great stop. Only thing was that when we went to buy tickets the next available time was two hours later!

pjlooluke

Sadly, we were both incredibly disappointed with tourist train that we had so looked forward too. Unfortunately, due to events beyond their control we never made it to the look out over Toledo. For some reason that area was closed and yet, we were charged the same price. The only reason we took it was to go to the lookout. I was jammed in the middle plus so low, you really can't see much. Unless you have an open window and on an outside seat it's really quite worthless. Plain disappointed.

For the best photos sit on the right of the carriages. The headsets can be fiddly to get loud enough. Those on the open window position sometimes struggled to hear all the commentary.

Las vistas son excepcionales, el río Tajo, el puente, el castillo d San Servando, la imagen d Toledo es una maravilla. Lo negativo, los cascos se escuchaban fatal, el tren daba salto constantes.
