Yanchep Lagoon Beach

A beautiful protected sandy beach and clear blue water makes this a popular local swimming beach. An off shore reef barrier protects and shelters the lagoon and there are public change rooms and showers if you want to plan this as a swimming stop in advance. Bring appropriate swimming gear. goggles and towels if you want to go for a dip in the Indian Ocean before heading up to the Pinnacles later.

Yanchep National Park

Entry to the Yanchep National Park is optional and the entry fee of $10 per person not included in the tour price. The Park is home to Kangaroos which roam freely and Koalas which are in an open viewing enclosure. There is also a small cave tour which has a small cost and takes approximately 45 minutes to complete. The park also has a sweets and tea shop and beautiful wetlands which are lovely photo stops

Admission Not Included

Two Rocks

"Imaginatively" named after the two large limestone features off the beach, Two Rocks is a quirky little seaside town with an unusual past that is worth passing through. A giant "King Neptune" statue looks out to sea and is a fun photo stop.

Lancelin Sand Dunes

For those with plenty of energy to burn, the Lancelin Sand Dunes offer a fun opportunity to hire a board and test your sand dune surfing skills! Board Hire is not included in the tour and costs $10 for an hour for one board. Goggles are recommended if its windy as sand blowing in your face can be unpleasant. If you dont want to try the sandboarding, the landscape makes for a great photo stop.

The 3 Emus Restaurant

A good range of fresh seafood, pasta dishes and salads here if you want to eat and recharge after sand boarding. The Pinnacles are a further 45 minute drive north and the next food stop is the seaside town of Cervantes which is a further 15 minutes north of the Pinnacles.

The Pinnacles

The Pinnacles Desert landscape is a natural gallery of hundreds of sandstone plinths much like a type of Stonehenge. The totally natural sandstone plinth shapes are randomly scattered around the park and are of varying sizes, shapes, textures, heights and colours. Sandy winding pathways enable vehicle access through the Pinnacles Desert park and there are sidings which allow temporary parking and photography stops to take place. Its common for visitors to take photos of the Pinnacles Desert as a natural background landscape. There is a modern Discovery Centre at the entrance to the Desert Park which explains various theories about how the landscape was formed. Displays of the wildlife and flora of the Desert Park are also part of the Discovery Centre as well as a souvenir shop.

Admission Included

Cervantes

The seaside fishing town of Cervantes is a 15 minute drive north of the Pinnacles and is the preferred lunchstop if you want to make the Pinnacles your first main stop. There are two great restaurants to choose from which both offer the local Lobster on the menu. The Lobster Shack is the more well known choice and the Cervantes Bistro also offers a broad menu of seafood, steaks, pasta and drinks.

Hangover Bay

A lovely bay with generally very clear blue water and white sandy beaches. The coastline however can be subject to storms and large piles of smelly salty seaweed so be mindful this may disappoint subject to local weather conditions.

My husband and I enjoyed a fun and fascinating tour of the Pinnacles with Peter yesterday. We thought our plans would have to be cancelled when our cruise ship was delayed a day out of Geraldton. Peter was so gracious and accommodating to meet us early morning on a Sunday instead so that we could fit the tour in during our shortened stay. The tour started with an informative drive around Fremantle which is a very pretty town. We then proceeded through Perth and up to the Pinnacles with Peter explaining a lot about the flora and the fauna of the area. Being November, the "Christmas trees" were in bloom so it was a very nice ride. The car was extremely comfortable and clean. When we got to the Pinnacles, it was an experience not only observing the geology but also using one's imagination (guided by the very knowledgeable Peter) of what all the rock shapes looked like. Imagine the "art of cloud watching" turned into the "art of rock watching." After Pinnacles, Peter took us to the Lobster Shack for lunch. It was delicious! We had lobster chowder, calamari (squid) rings and abalone that were all excellent, all the while enjoying the lunch overlooking the sea and the lobster boats moored in the bay. We heartily recommend a trip to the Pinnacles with Peter and Perths Tiny Tours. You will not be disappointed!

Magical Day - Traveling North from Perth to the Pinnacles with stops along the way at King Neptune Sculpture andTwo Rocks Beach, Lancelin and Cervantes for Lunch. This was our first trip to Perth so we chose to do two trips with Peter - North and South. I chose the Pinnacles because of the trip along the coast and into the red desert with the petrified forest. We stopped along the way to see some of the Australian Fauna and the Lake Thetis Stromatolites - one of the oldest living organisms on earth. We were lucky to see a blue tongued lizard along the side of the walkway here. The Pinnacles - Amazing - Incredible - Wonderful - you must visit the centre before you visit the actual area where the Pinnacles so you can get an idea of the history of the area and how the pinnacles have been formed 25 - 30Ths years ago. Peter was great at pointing out some of the names the pinnacles had been given by travellers to the area and kindly took pictures for us with the pinnacles and provided fly protection when we asked for it. The flies weren't that bad really but why not makes for a great photo and a fuss free experience. Peter was a fabulous guide for the day - was able to impart heaps of interesting information, answered questions and obliged taking photos of the obligatory animal road signs on the road when it was safe to do so. If you are looking to do a small group tour - Peter is your man - relaxed fun day excellent safe driver arrived on time and dropped us off at the door of our hotel after.

Peter went above and beyond for my wife and I. We ended up doing two tours with him. He completely customized both tours for what we were looking to do. First tour we did was the Pinnacles day tour. Was originally scheduled for a different day but due to possible weather Peter reached out about doing it a day earlier. Turned out to be the best move. Had we done it on the day it was originally scheduled we would have been stuck in the rain!! Also on the Pinnacles tour Peter organized a coast route going out from Perth and a inner country route going back to Perth. Gave my wife and I a chance to get two different perspectives of the country. Also that night he took us around to a few other spots in the city to see different perspectives with the city lights on. Also went to couple view points to get a really good view of the city at night. The second tour we did was the Caversham wildlife park plus tour. This was an awesome tour to see some of the local animals native to the west side of Australia and country of Australia. Even had the chance to hold a koala, feed some Kangaroos, and see a kookaburra up close among many others. The part of being able to hold a koala was a bucket list thing for my wife. :) after spending time at the wildlife park we went and visited some other local spots and towns close to Perth. The Gin tasting at GinGinGin was amazing. Highly recommend doing that! Going to Fremantle was fun as well. In between though we went to an amazing bakery and got some food for lunch that was hard to beat!! All in all the two days were amazing and I would highly recommend Peter to anyone. He was very personable and friendly. His knowledge and stories were great to listen to.

My sister and I had an absolutely brilliant day exploring the Pinnacles with Peter as our guide! He was incredibly informative, engaging and thoughtful, showing us numerous sights on the way to the Pinnacles and back. We really couldn’t recommend Tiny Tours enough after such a great time! Thank you again!

I was in Freemantle for a conference and only had Sunday to do the Pinnacles so booked Peter to take me. He was fantastic, great communication beforehand and had so many interesting facts and info that he shared on the journey. We stopped at New Norcia on the way up which was nice. The weather was amazing, and the Pinnacles were just incredible. We went to the Lobster Shack for a very late lunch, I was really surprised how good the food was. We drove back via the coast road and stopped to look at the grass trees in close up All in all a really fantastic day. Definitely recommend people book Peter. Far far better value than the coach tours and you get to see what you want and have great company as well.

Another grand day out with Peter. Did his best to enliven what could have been a tedious journey there with frequent stops at coastal towns along with his usual string of anecdotes and comments. The Pinnacles, when we arrived fully lived up to expectations again brought to life by all our imaginations.

We had an amazing day with Peter, he is so knowledgeable on the area and will tweak the tour to suit you. Peter is so flexible you can spend as long or as short at the destinations that suit you. The Pinnacles are magical and the huge sand dunes are amazing.

If you want a private and personalized experience Peter is the one. I did the Pinnacles/Cervantes day tour in Jan 2023 fab day to be out, great sunshine, clear day, no bugs and all the ins and outs that you wouldn't get on those prefab tour itineraries...lookouts with ocean views; Two Rocks town; white sand dunes; lancelin lookout; lobster shack is a must do for lunch out that way; the pinnacles in all their sandy glory, canola fields and New Norcia Monestary to round out the day. After that first fabulous day out...Peter agreed to take me out again... to Freemantle and we freestyled it for the day...went to Heirisson Island to search out the resident kangaroos (found them..."happy dance"); took in the art scene at East West Design Co...so fab...respect and recognition to the artists please; went to Freemantle Harbour (pop in at Cicerellos) and don't forget to pay homage to the one and only Bon Scott; drove, strolled, walked along the river banks...LoQuay River cafe for lunch was legit. Lookout at Blackwall Beach is a must see/must do. Trek to waterfall...On the way to airport...quick trip down the switch backs...couldnt have spent the last few hours in Perth better than this. For sure...if you want to maximize your trip experience Perth Tiny Tours is the partner of choice. See you again in Aug/Sept Peter.
