We had a very wet and overcast day trip meaning we had the worst view of Snowden possible see pictures below. The rain also made things unpleasant in general. Our guide was very nice but his history was as clouded as the day. For example he told us the V sign of two fingers comes from Welsh archers and there distain for the English who when they caught them they would cut of their fingers. Now the Internet has a similar story about this that's also not true it saying English archers and French wars, it's possible to then link the inclusion of Welsh archers in previous wars against France but it's not the origins. When you examine the history this is not the origin of the V sign. Archers he also said we're superior in Wales this may or may not be accurate to the time of the castles but certainly the best archers in British history using the sort of bows that were superior came from Cheshire actually from my home town so I did find this interpretation of history interesting and were in Chester City protecting it against welshmen that is true. They later protected the king as his personal guards and ended up falling out with royalty themselves during the wars of the roses. So the type of archers were 2-3 hundred years apart from the building of the castles by Edward. He also said Lewis Carol was from Llandudno which again isn't true. The Alice in wonderland trail would tell you that he wrote Alice in wonderland about a young girl he knew and that family holidays were spent in Llandudno but there's no indication Lewis ever even came here on holiday himself that family did but he didn't and he was again from Cheshire Darebury area where again I live close to. There's a museum and gardens the house he lived in. So don't believe anything he tells you 🫣 If you can't drive yourself to places then the tours great. I haven't rated it low just average because it was a fun day out. Everything's expensive these days and you will have to add another £30-50 to this price to get into castles the other attractions on the tour. If you did it once then you would have an idea for were to go the next time you visit. In many ways having the knowledge of where to go next time your here is worth the cost of the tour.

It was a beautiful tour. There were so many beautiful locations and sights. Our guide, Chris, shared historical stories with the group that were immensely informative and really brought the experience to life.

Portmeirion village and woodland walk was stunning. It exceeded my expectations! Chris our tour guide was absolutely brilliant, his knowledge and passion for Welsh history knew no bounds, and he kept us entertained with his stories.

The whole day was fantastic. The weather was great, the driver/tour guide was friendly and knowledgeable, a really nice guy. The rest of the passengers were from a verity of countries, we were a nice small group.

The good: -passionate and talkative guide -some great scenery, especially at Conwy Castle and Snowdonia Viewpoint The bad: -tour advertised 1.5 hours of lakes and scenery in Snowdonia, but that is just a drive by and not a stop. -Portmeirion is basically a bad tourist trap. Run-down dilapidated tourist village at a 40 pound extra premium (not included in ticket price). -while the guide is knowledgeable, his Welsh nationalism, dislike for the UK, and political opinions, enter his lectures more often than facts do. -the vehicle was sweltering hot inside. Multiple people were complaining over and over for the air to be turned on and the windows to be rolled down and it just wasn’t enough. -there is very little leg room in the seats. My 5’3” (160cm) tall wife’s knees touched the seat in front of her. I was crammed in there.

Fredy ( I hope I spelled it right) he is amazing, really great tour guide. Really knowledgeable, you will fall in love more on Llandudno, Former Snowdonia Park and Wales history and culture.

Great Day With Freddie. This was great value, very interesting and fun. Got a great feel for Wales and it’s beauty. Plenty of time to explore places of interest and good recommendations from Freddie when we arrived at new places to explore.

brynelfed

Our second visit. Chose a good day as a brass band were playing. Great weather and good atmosphere. Maybe a bit pricy, but the grounds and buildings were well kept.

deborahwanghui

I wouldn’t be able to see so much of the nice landscape in the area without this trip. It was very well planned, generally just the right amount of time in each scenic spot. It wish we could have spent 30 less minutes in Portmeripn and spend that time having a tea in the lovely Ugly House. Of course this is just a personal preference. Fredi was warm and helpful in explaining all the stories behind along the journey.

We are lucky that it was sunny. The views were amazing. We love seeing the seals! But we felt that the Snowdonia part could be made better like stopping in one lake or more hours on that area. Overall it's still memorable and lovely. Thank you so much!
