(Pass by)

We will ride by the Key West Art & Historical Society located in the Custom House, an imposing Romanesque structure, now offering two floors of exhibitions that weave together two centuries of history, art, people, and events. Dating from the end of the 19th century, this four-story architectural marvel was originally home to the island’s customs office, postal service and district courts.

Mel Fisher Maritime Heritage Museum

(Pass by)

We will ride by the Mel Fisher Maritime Museum containing an extensive collection of artifacts from 17th century shipwrecks, a nationally recognized research facility and a fully operating Conservation and Archaeology lab.

We will ride the full length of Duval Street, just over 1.25 miles, from the Gulf of Mexico to the Atlantic Ocean! The beautiful Bahamian and Spanish influenced Victorian Mansions fill the southern neighborhood of Key West’s Main Street. The largest one is the Southernmost Mansion, located next to KeyWest’s South Beach. Art galleries, boutiques and bodegas populate this part of Duval Street. The Cuban flair is everywhere… from Cuban cigars to Cuban coffee shops… In Mid-Duval, we’ll see Willy T’s, Jimmy Buffett’s Original Margaritaville, Key West’s Hard Rock Cafe, Saint Paul’s Episcopal Church, the Oldest Schoolhouse and the oldest standing house in Key West. Continuing our ride towards the northern tip of Duval street, we’ll reach the upper blocks containing the most famous bars… The Bull & Whistle, The Garden of Eden, Irish Kevin’s, Rick’s, Dirty Harry’s, Hog’s Breathe Saloon, the Smallest Bar in Key West. And the most famous bar in Key West, Sloppy Joe’s!

Southernmost Point

The Southernmost Point buoy is Key West most photographed landmark. The large concrete painted buoy officially locates the southernmost point in the continental United States. The line is always long at this spot to get your picture taken, but no worries, we’ll be able to get a great shot right in front of the buoy while remaining seated in the pedicab!

The Ernest Hemingway Home and Museum

(Pass by)

The Ernest Hemingway House was the residence of American writer Ernest Hemingway in the 1930s. Due to its association with Hemingway, the property is the most popular attraction in Key West. It is also famous for its large population of so-called Hemingway cats, many of which are polydactyl.

Key West Lighthouse and Keeper's Quarters Museum

The present Key West Lighthouse is located across the road from the Hemingway House. It stands on ground about 15 feet above sea level and it is 73 feet tall, placing the light about 88 feet above sea level.

Tour guide was very knowledgeable and showed us a lot of things off the beaten path, as well as all the tourist sites. Recommend going in the morning, as it's cooler!

Frenchie was awesome! It is a fantastic way to see the island and learn about its history. A perfect way to start your time in Key West so that you can figure out the best places to go.

We had a wonderful and relaxing tour. We saw all of the places we wanted to see and more. We definitely recommend booking this tour! Thank you for a fabulous afternoon!

Ellen (Frenchie) did a wonderful job showing us all around Key West. She does have a nice French accent which adds spice to the trip, and she has a deep personal knowledge of everything about Key West. Book this tour on your first day there because it will give you the lay of the land, and helps you decide what other things you want to see and do.

Frenchie made our trip to Key West very special. Rather than jumping on the local tourist train we took a personal trip around the Island with a very engaging and informed guide. She adjusted the route to accommodate some special requests and made it our favorite single thing we did on our Key West visit. I would highly recommend you do this on your first day in Key West. We will return and we look forward to spending another few hours with Frenchie.

Frenchie was reliable, informative and a pleasure to spend two hours with. She navigated the sights providing stories of the island, its history and pointed out must see places. My husband, elderly mother and myself all fit comfortably in the carriage and the ride was relatively smooth. She was also very accommodating considering we asked her to stop on two separate occasions. You will definitely cover more ground with Frenchie than if you choose the conch tour or another means of transportation. We recommend this site seeing adventure! Thank you Frenchie for a wonderful and enjoyable morning!

Frenchie was fun and knowledgeable. She tailored the experience to our preferences and the weather. We saw the touristy things and things off the beaten path. Frenchie is also a wonderful photographer, offering to take pics (on our camera) at each stop so we had a photo journal of our morning around Key West!

We took a tour bus from Miami Beach on 12/30/23 and only had 5-6 hours to take in all there is to see in Key West. We booked a two hour pedicab tour with Frenchie and we were so glad we did! Frenchie reaches out and communicates with you immediately after booking, and stays in touch. Frenchie covers a lot of territory in a short time and gives you all the background information on all of the historic buildings and sites. She knows the best spots for photos and gladly took lots of us at our stops. She offers great information on places for shopping and eating - whatever you’re in the mood for. We had a great time and highly recommend Frenchie!
