Robert was the perfect guide. Victoria and Albert is an overwhelming museum and he made it accessible as he taught us about the museum as a whole and about specific pieces in the collection. Meaningful, memorable and he made the most of the three hours we had to tour the museum. We will book again when we return to London. And we will tell our friends how great the experience was.

Excellent tour of the V&A. Our guide, Robert Miller was very knowledgeable and guided us through the crowds (it was a bank holiday). Highly recommended!!

There is no way to do a comprehensive visit of the Victoria and Albert Museum. It is a vast reservoir, a collection that spans centuries and subjects and styles and media. We knew we needed someone to help us approach at least one area without being utterly overwhelmed. After reading multiple reviews we booked Richard. This was an excellent decision. He focused us on the largest collection- sculpture- but edited our tour it so that we could understand how and why this was such a magnificent showcase of some of the world's masterpieces. He has a really interesting background and a thorough knowledge of his subject so our hours with him flew by. Our only disappointment was that we didn't have more time. However, there's only so much one can absorb in limited hours. We'll be back.

The museum would be very overwhelming without a guide, but with Robert in charge, we were able to focus on the special pieces of art and the stories within (most of them are items we would've just passed by without knowing their significance!) Robert was amazing, this is very obviously his passion. He had so much to tell us, and was keen to tailor our private tour to our interests. However his narrative told a story, linking sculptures and artwork to history, with stories of which artists/sculptors influenced/taught who. We talked about where original pieces of artwork were still kept and when hearing of our planned future trips he was keen to give us things to look out for. 3hrs of the history of artworks that flew by so quickly, a tour to suit all levels of interest. Thank you Robert for a memorable afternoon.
