On the one hand, our tour guide, Annibal, was very friendly and accommodating. On the other hand, I feel he was able not show us the real highlights of Frankfurt with the nuanced information that I expected from a tour guide. I guess I should have been more explicit in what we wanted to see (I did say that I wanted to see a little of everything), but I did not expect our first stop to be a mall (MyZeil Mall) with the longest escalator in Frankfurt. We reached Romerburg (I stumbled upon what the place was called when I was looking up the Frankfurt Cathedral) and I remember being awed by how pretty it was but he did not explain anything about the place. (He did take pictures with the human statue, who turned out to be his friend.) He spent a lot of time explaining the history of the Frankfurt Cathedral but I don't know how accurate it was. We were not able to go inside because there was a service. We then took the river boat tour where the sites were explained as part of the tour. He tried to add more information to what was already provided but what he said, particularly at the Gerbermühle, was not exactly in sync with what was said by the tour. All in all, the experience was underwhelming, which was too sad because Annibal has a great personality.

This is a great way to get your bearings when in Frankfurt. The tour guide was very informative about sharing her knowledge with us showing us the city sights. And gave us suggestions on where to eat, dine and shop. Otherwise I highly recommend this 2 hour private walking tour.

Seeing the city with our guide who pointed out the areas of interest to us on our walking tour of the city. We also received other information on recommendations on where to eat. It is a way of getting to know you're way around the city before doing it on your own. I definitely recommend this for first time travelers coming to Frankfurt.
