Omaha Beach

Omaha Beach was part of the invasion area assigned to the U.S. First Army, under Lieutenant General Omar Bradley. The assault sectors at Omaha were code-named (from west to east) Charlie, Dog (consisting of Green, White, and Red sections), Easy (Green and Red sections), and Fox (Green and Red sections). We will have one stop on Omaha Beach, at either Vierville, St Laurent or Colleville.

Cimetiere Americain de Colleville-sur-Mer

This World War II cemetery in France contains the graves of nearly 9400 war dead, and nearly 1600 names on the Walls of the Missing.

Pointe du Hoc

Pointe du Hoc is a high point between two of the five D-Day landing beaches, Utah and Omaha. It is renowned for the daring assault conducted on 6 June 1944 by the 2nd U.S. Ranger Battalion in an effort to neutralise the German artillery battery there.

Sainte-Mere-Eglise

A small and quiet rural community, Saint-Mère-Eglise was of great importance as it straddled all communications to Cherbourg. While nearly 13,000 American paratroops were being dropped under a full moon into the confusion of the surrounding countryside, famously one company was dropped, at about 1:45am, onto the village square and cattle market of this now world-famous village.

Airborne Museum

The Airborne Museum first opened its doors back in 1962, in the centre of Sainte-Mère-Eglise. It takes visitors into the very heart of the fighting by the US paratroopers of the 82nd and 101st Airborne Divisions in the early hours of June 6th 1944. Unique of its kind in Europe, it features a life-sized scene depicting a stick of paratroopers belonging to the 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment of the US 101st Airborne Division enplaning at an English aerodrome in June 1944.

Admission Included

Utah Beach

Utah Beach, the westernmost beach of the five landing areas of the Normandy Invasion of World War II. It was assaulted on June 6, 1944 (D-Day of the invasion), by elements of the U.S. 4th Infantry Division.

4 of us took a full day tour with Anthony. He was fantastic!! He was able to answer every question we had regarding the history of D day/WWII and every other historical question we had as well. A very pleasant guy, we all enjoyed our time with him and would recommend him highly.

Dominique not only was knowledgeable about the whole Normandy campaign but also enlightened us with so many small facts that we would not normally learn about during the invasion of Normandy. We will certainly call Dominique on our subsequent visits to Normandy for the other tours she provides.
