While it is hard to find the words to positively describe this tour, being that it educates you on very negative time in history, I couldn't have asked for a better guide and a better experience while visiting Dachau. Our guide was beyond knowledgable, and was a wonderful presenter. He was thoroughly engaging for the whole tour and left us with such a deep respect and understanding of those affected by the camp and that time in history. I would highly recommend this tour.

Oliver our driver , met us at the agreed time at our hotel to take us to Dachau outside of Munich. Gordon was our tour guide for Dachau and with his immense knowledge and insight working with Dachau survivors, he was able to give us a real picture along with the Dachau site memorial, a mental image of the Dachau camp and how it was to be there for the thousands of inhabitants that were imprisoned and persecuted. Along with Gordon’s historical knowledge and the site’s buildings and memorial layout, we could understand the impact on the prisoners. Oliver transported us all back to Munich telling us about some sites along the way..to and from Dachau. Having the personal transportation was very efficient and less chaotic. Having Gordon as our tour guide was invaluable to gaining an understanding of the camp’s impact.

Our guide, Tom, was an expert in WWII history. He even had extra photos and a resource guide to share with us! He brought Dachau to life for us, helping us to understand the history of the camp, not just what happened there! I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND this tour, especially with Tom!

Well done and thank you to Mat, who provided an excellent half-day Dachau tour for our family. We all learned so much and you continued to have our 3 boys (aged 12, 12 & 10) still enthralled and asking questions by the end of the tour which was no small feat. Indeed our post-Dachau discussions and reflections with them continued into the evening - it was a moving and educational experience.
I would thoroughly recommend this tour and I also found this company very easy to work with to organise this tour (thank you Adam).
