This was a great experience visiting this famous wine producing region and having tastings at three wonderful boutique wineries. However, what made this experience exceptional was the tour guide Enrique whose passion for wine and knowledge of the wine industry in Spain was unsurpassed. Enrique is a winery owner himself and his passion for the entire process of wine making is evident as he discusses the process, types of wine, the grapes, the land, and the ins and outs of wine making. You get to meet the owners of several wineries and hear them tell their experience and have tastings with them as well as tours of the vineyard and cellars. A tour that is definitely worthwhile and I highly recommend it. It’s unforgettable and unique, thanks to Enrique.

This trip with Enrique was spectacular. He picked us up at our hotel then gave us lots of fascinating information before we arrived at our first stop. This was an educational experience as we saw the local’s wine cellars plus we were treated to a viewing of an actual wine press that was being restored. We stopped next at Cair and really had a great experience touring with the winery’s hostess prior to our tasting. Next we went to Aster and frankly we could have moved in. What a delightful hostess who presented us with the perfect wines for the day. This place is not to be missed. Lastly we went to lunch at xxx with some nouveau style food that was as pretty and tasty. Enrique was full of information, passion for wine, and great knowledge about the region. He was welcoming, warm, and personable. This is really a great personalized tour that is immensely worth it!!

Excellent day crafted with a mix of traditional and modern Ribera del Duero for us to experience. We visited three wineries with tours at the first two and a wonderful lunch with wine pairing at the third. Qique arranged everything perfectly and was extremely helpful and knowledgeable about the region and history. Highly recommend!

One of the highlights of our trip! Enrique picked us up at our hotel (which was super convenient) and took us to 3 wineries, from a larger producer to a small family farm. Enrique is a winemaker himself, so he was extremely knowledgeable and just a great, friendly guy. The winemakers knew him, so it was like being taken by a friend. Go!

We were in Spain for twenty eight days. The wine tour with Enrique as our guide was the highlight of our trip! Enrique was an amazing guide, so informative and knowledgeable. He was so personable. The three wineries we visited were all so different but all three had great wine. When we are in Spain next we will be sure to do this again. I highly, highly recommend the tour with Enrique!!

Words cannot fully capture the experience of this amazing wine tour….you have to experience it for yourself. Our group of 4 booked the WINE TOUR MADRID full day Ribera del Duero private tour with pick up from Madrid with Enrique. Enrique, the business owner and our guide is a certified wine expert and winemaker himself. His knowledge of the region and its wineries is unsurpassed. Our tour included visits to 3 wineries that were unique from each other and all exceptional. We had a delicious lunch at one of the wineries and visits to a couple of small villages along the way for a truly immersive experience. This is not a “cookie cutter” tour that you might find from a large operator, but personalized and unique. We have been on many wine tours in different places in the world and this ranks at the top. NOTE: At this writing the online reviews are limited as Enrique recently started his own company after working for a larger operator for quite a few years. Do not let that deter you. HIGHLY recommend. You will not be disappointed.

My friends and I had the pleasure joining this in Ribera del Duero and I must say that Enrique, our tour guide made the entire experience truly exceptional. He was incredibly knowledgeable about the region's wines and vineyards, sharing fascinating insights and stories that enriched our journey. His passion for wine was contagious, and it was evident that he genuinely cared about creating a memorable and educational experience for us. Enrique's expertise extended beyond just wine. He was well-versed in the history, culture, and traditions of the Ribera del Duero region. His attention to detail and professionalism were commendable. If you have the opportunity to join one of their wine tours, do not hesitate.

We did a private tour with Enrique Menasalvas the owner. He goes by Quique. He is really cool. Just a great guy, passionate about wine making and Spain. It was a fantastic day in the Ribera Del Duero region. We thought it would be a good day but after the fact we realize how fortunate we were to have spent the day with Quique. A lot of fun and super interesting. He is very knowledgeable. This was for sure a 5 out of 5 experience. Beyond taking us to three great wineries (bodegas) we saw some beautiful sites, scenery and yes we drank some delicious wines! Thank you Quique. We can't wait to do it again! Another reason to go back to Madrid!

Wine Tour Madrid says that it provides unique wine tours and it certainly delivered on that promise. We did a private tour to Ribera del Duero because we like the wines of this region. Enrique delivered a spectacular tour with generous tastings and a great lunch. The appellation is a reasonable drive from Madrid, but we were entertained with wine information and by answers to our wine questions. Enrique studied enology and is currently producing small quantities of wine so he knows the little details and the big picture. Our program started with a modern winery that made excellent wines in a gravity-flow facility. We did an interesting barrel tasting there to compare French and American oak barrels. Then we tasted their excellent bottled wines. After this, we drove through an old village where Enrique took us to a friend’s cave. Here we tasted fresh Clarete wine (an unofficial name for a light red wine with more body than rose) directly from their barrels. This was the height of home wine making except it was so much better than you can make in your caves at home. Delicious and special. We thank Enrique for this unscheduled stop! We had upscale lunch at another beautiful winery. The roast lamb was delicious as was the wine paired with it. We finally dragged our alcohol soaked livers to a third winery where we again tasted fabulous Ribera del Duero wines. Throughout the process, Enrique provided us with commentary on our tastings and ideas about Spanish wines. This tour definitely exceeded expectations and we highly recommend it to anyone serious about wines or just looking to taste excellent wines with an expert. Thank you Enrique!
