We drive through the beautiful Wiltshire countryside to Stonehenge, arriving as it opens and before other guests arrive. This amazing monument was first mentioned as one of the wonders of Britain only seventy years after the Norman Conquest. It has aroused awe and curiosity ever since. This is your chance to experience it for yourself. During the drive to Stonehenge there is plenty of information for you to browse through as well as an audio presentation. This allows you to make the most of your time here. Your driver guide will assist you to get your Stonehenge ticket on the day, avoiding queues and delays. There is time to see the visitor centre and also a cafe for refreshments

Lacock Abbey & Village

As well as providing plenty of information on the way to Lacock village, your small group will enjoy a guided walking tour which really makes the life & history come alive. You will also see film locations used in Harry potter, Downton Abbey and Pride & Prejudice. If you prefer time to explore on your own, that's absolutely fine.

During this tour you will be travelling through beautiful English countryside, picuresque villages and hamlets and rolling downland with white horses and burial chambers. This was an excellent tour leaving from Bath and getting us out in the countryside without having our own car. The tour guide was engaging, each stop from Stonehenge to different villages was the right amount of time to see the sites. Quite a bit was covered in a full day and we appreciated the pacing.

We happened upon this by chance while visiting a friend in Bristol. Are we glad we did! A perfect experience! Richard was an excellent guide and provided a quick witted and funny commentary along the road. Even had an extra jacket for forgetful passenger. Smooth sailing and times were just right. We loved this tour! Our guide, Richard, was a delight and very knowledgeable about the area. He provided interesting commentary throughout the tour to help us understand more about the area. It was great to see Stonehenge without any crowds in the off season. We also enjoyed the stop in Lacock. It was fun to see where popular movies and tv shows were filmed and to get a pint. Would recommend this tour to see Stonehenge, a nice view of English countryside and to see an untouched authentic village. A lot packed in for a half day tour!

Very good tour. Maddie and team at Mad Max Tours was so helpful. We were the only people who had signed up and instead of just cancelling they worked with us to still get our tour as we only had the one day to take the tour. Andy our guide was wonderful and we had a great day with him.
