Your Itinerary

Burford

The day begins by departing London and travelling towards the quintessentially English countryside of The Cotswolds; an area that is famous for its beautiful landscape, charming villages and honey-coloured stone cottages. Our first stop will be the traditional town of Burford; known as the ‘Gateway to the Cotswolds’. This is a historic place where many houses date back nearly 600 years and little has changed for centuries. During the visit there will be time to explore Burford, visit the magnificent church and stroll along the high street to visit a mix of independent family-run shops.

Bibury

The village of Bibury is often described as the 'prettiest village in England'. It's charming scene is a snapshot of traditional English country life. Wander along the gentle river and see the iconic Arlington Row; a set of weavers cottages that are now one of the symbols of the Cotswolds.

Bourton-on-the-Water

Our lunch stop is the charming settlement of Bourton-on-the-Water. The town's river setting has seen it become known as the 'Venice of the Cotswolds'.

Stow-on-the-Wold

We'll continue through the countryside to Stow-on-the-Wold, the highest town in the Cotswolds that is a jumble of ancient inns & antique shops located around the bustling market square. This historic town was a place of inspiration for JRR Tolkien and is also where the last battle of the English Civil War took place in 1646.

It was fun to see the locations that we had seen in TV, although there were plenty of other people around hard to get a photo like the one shown. Our guide Jamie was great. he was full of information and he handled a couple difficult people who were loud or seemed to be unable to tell time. It is a long day, but getting there from London is an hour and a half each way.

Charming english houses with wonderful gardens. The chaufeur gave interresting information. Good service!

Enjoyed our tour with David very much, despite the rainy weather! Clean, comfortable bus. David was entertaining (ask him to sing you a few songs!) and very knowledgeable.

We enjoyed a wonderful day touring the Cotswolds with GO Tours. Our driver-guide, Glenn, was knowledgeable and engaging and did a wonderful job. The scenic drive was beautiful and relaxing and the towns we visited were as picturesque and charming as I hoped they would be.

My husband Lee and I went to London for a couple of days on our honeymoon. Then we joined GO Tours for a grand trip to Stonehenge , Minack Theatre , Exeter, Plymouth , Falmouth and other fun places. The weather did not cooperate every day but our guide, Jamie was a joy every day. He told us stories and we laughed and sang and just had a good ole time! I would highly recommend Go Tours. There is a professional courtesy and safety that is very obvious!

This was a great way to experience the Cotswolds. David did a great job directing us through there, and he even performed a few songs for us as well!

Christian provided a wonderful, informative experience. The full day tour introduced us to four villages. He gave many explanation and facts about the places we visited and proved information on other areas as we drove through. We would recommend this tour.

This was a very nice day trip! Our guide/driver Claire was friendly and knowable, telling many interesting things. We saw four lovely villages. Timing was perfect: enough time to explore each place in peace, but no unnecessary waiting. Very well planned and carried out. Mini bus (for 16 passengers) was a perfect choice, since driver was able to drive narrow country roads, where bigger bus couldn't have gone. We saw a lot of charming country landscapes.

Apart from the lovely scenery, I would say that James, our guide, made the trip memorable with his passion for the english country side, his knowledge of history and his awesome playlist. Forever grateful for this trip with him and extremely relieved that he was driving upon re-entry into London. Yikes!
