Hoover Dam

Located in Black Canyon on the Colorado River, the Hoover Dam was once the largest dam in the world. It is an outstanding achievement, noteworthy not only for its enormous dimensions, complex design and intricate construction, but also for its illustration of mans outstanding ability to overcome the desert's summer sun, the vagaries of a treacherous river and the extreme hazards of great heights on the chasm's sheer walls. The building of the dam also created Lake Mead, North America's largest man-made reservoir.

Mike O'Callaghan - Pat Tillman Memorial Bridge

You'll walk on the impressive Mike O'Callaghan-Pat Tillman Memorial Bridge which is 900' above the Colorado River. It's like flying in a Helicopter. The views are spectacular.

Art did an amazing job throughout the tour. He was friendly, professional and did a good job narrating along the tour. He is very knowledgeable, providing historical information of Hoover Dam, Boulder City and historic Boulder. He also drove us to different areas, so we could get the photos with the best views and also offered to take the photos. We had a wonderful experience. Well done. Highly recommend this tour. Thanks Art!

It was wonderful. I liked how we were kept informed about pickup times. Who our driver would be. Kirk our tour guide was very informative. We loved the Dam tour the small group was awesome. More individual attention. The small group dam tour was well worth the money.

The VIP Hoover Dam trip was all that I had hoped it would be. The van was very comfortable and the tour guide, Jim, got us everywhere safely. Jim was knowledgeable and injected humor into his vast knowledge of the infrastructure and inner workings of construction of the Boulder (now Hoover) Dam. I have mobility issues, and Jim was very kind, helping me out of the van and making sure the pace of the tour was appropriate for me — a true old-school gentleman. We were provided cold water and light snacks on the trip, which was a nice touch. I appreciated that someone from Adventure Photo called the day before the tour to confirm we were still going, and the day of we were called to update us on the approximate time we would be picked up and the name of our driver. I also loved the fact that the only people on our tour were my husband and me, another married couple, and a solo gentleman. It made the tour more intimate and the six of us got along well, cracking jokes and exchanging stories. Near the end of the tour we stopped at a beautiful park and we were fortunate to see live Bighorn sheep grazing on the park’s grass. Such elegant animals! I would highly recommend this Adventure Photo tour. You won’t be sorry!

Seeing the dam and bridge was cool but the tour was poorly organized. The driver asked if we wanted to stop at a museum in Boulder City but there were 3 couples and we didn't know what the other people wanted to do. The guide/driver should set the itinerary. At the dam, he left it up to the guests what time to return, we had to figure on our own when to call him to pick us up.

Amazing tour of an incredible structure. The history I learned not only about the dam itself but history given by our guide Kirk was great. He never hurried us, let us get plenty of pictures etc. You can tell he loves his job and his community. He definitely is one of the best tour guides I’ve had on any trip.

This was such an amazing trip. The tour guide Kirk was fabulous. He gave us so much information and took pictures of us. He suggested the power plant tour which was awesome! This is a must see tour.

I called to verify start time and pick up locatiin and the lady on the other ends was very friendly and helpful. Our driver was Art and he was amazing. He was very knowledgeable and friendly. He let us see Boulder City and gave us the history behind it. Then he gave us plenty of time to walk the dam and take the tour of the inside of the dam. We could have walked across the bridge for different view but my youngest didn't want to do anymore walking. Lastly, we stopped for another view point of Lake Mead. Art had plenty of cold water and snacks for us. Highly recommend this experience.

Jim was an outstanding tour guide and went out of his way to make sure all 6 of us enjoyed the tour. He was extremely knowledgeable and answered all of our questions.
