booked this tour through getyourguide but its actually this tour. Booked it the day before because it was cheaper than buying just the ferry ticket Email was received by Getyourguide & from the ferry company FRS. At the port go to FRS checkin & show them your email (ref number) and they will give you the ticket & arrivals paper and a grey tour sticker (there are several different colours depending on what tour you are doing... this one is supposed to be for just an hour and then free time). They don’t give you the return ticket you only get that off the guide later. Ferry is 1 hr, onboard you have to fill the arrivals form & queue up to get your passport stamped, we sat until the queue was gone & this was as the ferry docked. Off the boat you queue at the bag scanner & queue to get on bus, this took nearly an hour. We didn’t get the bus, we had took off sticker & just walked out of the port into town, 10 mins. This meant we got photos in town without the 400 other passengers.. Later we saw the guide (who was lovely & spoke English )sitting in a cafe & got our return ferry ticket off her, apparently she had said on the bus where she would be and to collect the ticket off her later. If we hadn't seen her (the city is tiny so chances are you will) Our plan was to get to ferry early & get ticket off her there.. Tangiers is nothing special, not a lot to see, so honestly not really worth it, but its so close to Tarifa we thought "why not" we've been to Marrakesh and this city is not as vibrant as that, so we went for a hamman to fill time which was fabulous

It was a great experience and the guides were very attentive and explained everything in detail. Lovely city and everything went to plan.

We had the Essential 1 Day trip package, and it served our visit very well! With this package you don’t get a lot of sightseeing around the city, but we actually preferred to just hop off the bus and walk around by ourselves. Our guide was very nice and helpful, gave us good recommendations in the marketplace and where to eat. This package is quite intense and fast, but it is enough to get the feel of the city, visit the marketplace to get some souvenirs and have local dinner (we had a full menu for a good price from a restaurant the guide recommended us). If you prefer to see more of the city and the cultural spots, we’d recommend going for the cultural package but if you want to get a hands-on day yourself, this one is well suited. Good to know: at least for us europeans there’s no need to exchange currency beforehand, because the city was very international in the way that even the marketplaces street shops took euros as payment.

We booked the essential trip to tanger but had a great time. We had a privat tourguide, Bathir, and he was amazing! The other group was about 60 persons and we had him for uw alone. It was such a great, first, safe experience with Morocco. The ferry doesn't go on time, which was not a problem for us, but good to know.

The ferry ride to Tangier from Tarifa and back went without any serious issues other than a long wait for border clearance on the way back. However, the primary disappointment was the tour group was much too large and thus really slowed the tour down. The tour guide spoke four different languages, which is an amazing talent; however, listening to the tour in four different languages became tedious after a while. It slowed down our learning of the beautiful city and left little room for questions. It was also slow walking through the city with a group of 44 people. I will say that the staff at Restaurant Hamadi was up to the task and was able to serve a great sampling of Moroccan food in a relatively short amount of time. The live 5 piece musical group also welcomed us with some traditional Moroccan music. Walking the Kasbah was enjoyable. The brief stop for a camel ride was very rushed but everybody that wanted a ride was able to get a quick couple of minutes on a camel and take advantage of a photo op. Bottom line, a tour like this is better suited for groups of 12 or fewer. Much of the enjoyment was taken away by the drag of a large group.

We have booked without guide and without the lunch. We didnt want a guide and we didnt want to have lunch. But once you are there the socalled "guided" drives you with the bus to the entry of the market. Then we asked him where to meet in order to go back (since we didnt book a guide and we didnt want a guide). Answer: We'll tell you when the tour is over. Also then you'll get the ticket for the trip back. We though ok - we dont pay for the guide so we walk with him. But it was a bad trip. After roughly 1 hour you are in a shop for oil, and other stuff they try to sell you. After that he tries to walk to you to a restaurant. Where you'll get the best mail for 15 EUR per person. (come one... whoever did a journey in that area knows that you high commission goes to the guide). We denied since there was already too much time stolen. Answer: "Are not happy with my guidance? You would never had a chance to see all the places of Medina." We answered: "We need now our own time, we wanted to see several other things." Answer of the guide "you have seen already everything, nothing more to see". Dont believe that, walk on your own, you'll find a great large fish market, nice areas, nice shops and nice bars where you can eat original food (for 30dr => ~3 EUR, not 15 :-) I would still do the tour without a guide. Since the guides dont make sense. Its easy to see everythin on your own. You just need GPS + offline map on your device. Also the guide doesnt tell you a lot. A book tells you more. He also explains the basics in 3 languages (en, es, de). So again a waste of your time since you cant proceed. So: take the trip without the guide and without lunch. And once the guide starts with the information that you need the guide, insist that you want to know where the meeting point is and leave the group. The guide is payed by FRS and tries to make additional cash by his tour and commission from the guys where you should eat or buy from :-) but that usual in that area.

I had the worst experience with FRS. The delay was very long with no customer service. You just wait until they decide

Tour itself was actually quite good, guide was quite a funny fellow. What wasn’t great was when we got to the port to collect our tickets, we were advised that this tour was no longer being offered, up to two weeks prior. Not sure why we weren’t advised and why payment was still charged to my credit card. We ended up having to pay more, so that the port would honour the tour

Ieva S

It was excellent, amaizing. We never expected so much for the money we spent. We recomend this tour to everyone. You won’t be dissapointed! Thank You, FRS!
