After being welcomed by our Guide in your hotel we will head in the direction of Savoca crossing two small villages Sant Alessio and Santa Teresa, we will reach Savoca. This very small town full of treasures will offer and welcome us the Vitelli bar where several scenes of FF Coppola's The Godfather were filmed, the bar is submerged with photos that speak of the film, after we will head towards the church of Santa Lucia to visit where the wedding between Appolonia and Michael Corleone took place... We will still see, we will visit the Capuchin crypt which houses several mummies in a small catacomb.

Forza d'Agro

Moving from Savoca we reach Forza d'agro' also this city was incorporated in the film the Godfather, just think that we find this city "scenic" in all three films. This was a great little excursion to add to our Taormina experience. Marcello took us to a couple of beautiful places up in the mountains, well worth the visit. He has great knowledge of the Godfather movies and was a fun guide. The views were spectacular.

Marchello was so knowledgeable about Sicily and the movies. He spoke so well and the group was really happy. Everything was well co-ordinated and detailed. We had the best tour ever with Marchello and Massimo. Wonderful hosts and certainly loved our time with them. Highly recommend this tour!

Great tour with interesting information about the Godfather movies, the mafia, and sicily in general. Really enjoyed the stop at Bar Vitelli and got to sit at the same table as Michael Corleone did in the movie.

It was exactly as described, a unique and fascinating experience. Mr. Marcello picked us up from in front of our accommodation at the time we agreed together, previously (different from the original one from the reservation, but it was ok). The trip was semi-private, in the sense that there were four of us and there was another British couple in the minibus we traveled with. After he picked us all up, we drove to Savoca, passing through two small villages, Sant Alessio and Santa Teresa. In Savoca we stopped at the famous Vitelli bar, for something to drink, coffee and cakes, where we even got to know its owner and took many photos. We walked around Savoca and visited the Church of Santa Lucia, where the marriage of Michael Corleone and Appolonia took place. Then we left for Forza d'Agro. Many scenes from "The Godfather" were filmed in this locality. Here we had the opportunity to review all the scenes that were filmed in Forza d'Agro. We walked through the streets of the small town and enjoyed the views and panoramas along the way. In the evening we returned to Taormina. Marcello was a very good driver and guide, very friendly and talkative, all the way telling us about "The Godfather", the history of its filming, the characters in the film, the actors and about the whole story and the fascinating way of relating between the inhabitants of Sicily. It was a successful afternoon and we enjoyed our family time traveling through traditional Sicily.

Marcelo was an amazing guide and made our experience unforgettable going from the city of Savoca, to the bar Vitelli and other locations where the movie was filmed. This amazing guide did not only make us travel back in time but also introduced us to Apollonia’s mother in Savoca which was an incredible experience. I definitely recommend Marcello full of jokes and good vibes he truly made our experience unique
