This tour is the perfect introduction to Venice, giving you an overview of the city’s unrivalled history and a taster of its world-famous cuisine. We are starting our tour in one of the most historical squares in Venice. It’s chimneys are iconic as are one of the few lefts in the city and the Round Church of La Maddalena is part of the masonic history of Venice.

We will walk in the Cannaregio neighbourhood, one of the few remaining residential areas of Venice, known for being a popular after work meeting spot for thirsty locals. We will take a gentle stroll around and chat about its 1,000-year history and your local guide will offer suggestions on other things to see and do during your stay.

It was so nice to walk with a local through the small streets and stop at out of the way locations not filled with tourists. Our guide was wonderful!! She gave us great tips on how to get around and much more. Thank you! I went in 2019. Just realized I didn’t write. Review.

Great tour guide! Some food was “meh” and some was great (our personal taste) but the places were friendly and accommodating. Great wine!

This was a fun tour - lots of great food and drinks. Our guide, Alice, was an excellent resource about Venetian food but also about Venice itself. She made the trip very fun and enjoyable for all of us. I appreciated that it was held later in the day so that we could do this after other tours. Wear comfortable shoes! You’ll be walking a lot.

This food tour was not bad. I will start that I have been on a lot of food tours over the years and felt this one was average. To again, our tour guide was nice, but very hard to understand and it was an English tour. She also never explained the last two food items we received. We were just handed them. One was tiramisu, which we knew what it was, but would still like some type of discussion and the other one I took a guess on what it was because she wasn’t near us. Over the three hour tour we did not sit down once at any place we went to. One stop there were seats, but they were other people on the same tour, but with a different guide who were sitting there. we are both in shape, but our feet hurt after walking all day so it would have been nice to eat and sit down at one stop. This was one of a few food tours where we left still hungry. The food we sampled was OK but nothing I would run back and want to get. The same for the wine, one of them was extremely sweet, which I do like sweet wines but on another level, not in a good way. We did a food tour in Rome, which blew this one out of the water so it definitely is not one I would do again, but would look for a different option if available. If not, I would say do it if you really wanna do a food tour and you have time.

Georgia was a fantastic tour guide. A great way to explore the city and experience Venetian cuisine. Highly recommend.

My family did a private food tasting tour. Our guide Georgia had lots of great information about the city as well as the food. Plenty of food and wine included, and a nice overview of some areas of the city we might not have visited otherwise. A great value and a nice option instead of just getting dinner at a restaurant.

Fun way to get a little history of the city and taste the local flavor! Enjoyed meeting new people and sharing some laughs!

Not bad but overpriced imho. Tasted many snacks and wines from cute very small local spots not touristy. Mingled with other travelers while enjoying treats, guide was great and friendly. We were hungry later and tired from walking and standing as many places didn’t have seating or bathrooms. A lower price would be a higher rating from us.
