We had a lovely day with Gil and Patricia learning about their family’s role as a small producer of vinho verde and the history of the surrounding area. Lunch was delicious. Very kind and conscientious hosts!

I spent a marvellous day todays with my hosts Patrícia and Gil on their ‘Trafitional Wine Tour in the Bowl’. Vinho Verde is a young wine and comes both in white and red. In this part of Portugal it is traditional to drink it from bowls. The tour was not restricted to the wines. Patrícia and Gil also showed me the village in which they live, a railway museum and a beautiful church. Breakfast at Patricia and Gil’s and lunch in a local restaurant were both generous and tasty.
