La Sorbonne

The institution was founded in the 13th century, and played a vital role in Paris becoming the nation's capital.

Pantheon

You will round off the tour by visiting one of the most popular tourist attractions in Paris, the Panthéon. A fantastic example of Neoclassical architecture which gained popularity in the 1700s, its facade is based on that of the Pantheon in Rome. Moreover, it is crowned by a small dome which bears more than a passing resemblance to St. Paul's Cathedral in London. It is the final resting place of many celebrated French historical figures, such as Victor Hugo, Marie Curie and Alexandre Dumas, and another reason it is such a much-loved attraction in Paris is that it provides wonderful panoramic views across the city. You will be able to spot all of the most famous monuments in Paris from here, so keep your camera close to hand so you can take some truly memorable souvenir photos!
