Superb, fun experience enjoyed all the more after a fun safety briefing. The weather was mixed, the water level low and we were clearly told what to expect and more importantly do within the raft as we approached each rapid. This was a trip for beginners and so quite a gentle 90 minutes trip but it had its moments which we all enjoyed.

Went white water rafting on the River Dee yesterday and honestly cant rate this experience high enough! On arrival we were greeted and registered and promptly given polite and clear instructions on fitment of the wet suit, helmet and life jacket. We were then taken a short (10 min) trip on a mini bus to the location and introduced to our guide. Nic was awesome, she gave us our safety briefing and took us out down the river were we descended down 3-4 sections of white water with some time in between for swimming and gaining some rafting experience. This is not something I have ever done before and she made the whole experience super simple, just turn up, follow some simple instructions and have a blast! The whole experience took around 3 hours and was amazing, this was down to the staff at Bearded Men Adventures, thank you for an amazing day, I will definitely be returning!

Amazing family fun day out, stunning scenery. Very competent and knowledgable.staff who made the experience one of a kind. A first time for us all and we were a,little nervous but Liz made sure we were all okay. We.would definitely do it again and are trying abseiling next. Thanks guys for a memory that will last a lifetime!!

Well what a place, went with a group of mates, we was stopping at Abbey farm for bank holiday weekend. They found the bearded men adventures and booked 10 of us for rafting. From start to finish we had a laugh with the lads and lass running it and one of the owners Hugh. Our guide was 12 year old Hugh 2 with slight bum fluff on his chin. He told us he was 18 but I smelt a rat. Bearded man Mike was another guide on another raft and we was having some right laughs all way down. All the guides fully professional and told us what to do. Even tho I think Hugh 2 was taking the Pee out of me and another lad, trying to squash 2 big blokes into a small gap on the raft. All in all bloody brilliant, all our group was still talking about it well into the night. Slightly sore joints as old age is kicking. Would and we are booking again for next year.

We did white water rafting yesterday which was absolutely brilliant. Mike went above and beyond in making it such a fun experience. This is completely out my comfort zone but from start to finish I felt so safe and all nerves went!! Couldn't recommend BMA more, a fab day out, thanks so much Mike & all involved! P.s. Fantastic birthday treat for our daughter. Rich was our guide, very informative about the river and the things on the bank. Cool, calm and collected throughout. We went out with 4 other rafts and I was very impressed by the way the guides communicated on getting us all through the rapids, coordinated each section and gave each raft a fab experience. Felt very safe at all times. Great opportunity to get out of the raft and swim in the river too. Well done Rich, Babyface and the two other guys( sorry can't remember your names - one with a beard (!) and one without but a great singing voice)and to Dan the driver.

Booked this activity for my boyfriend’s birthday, decided on bearded men adventures because the Instagram account looked fun compared to previous ones we’d seen. We had done white water rafting previously in Scotland for a company called ‘Active Highs’ but unfortunately they didn’t offer any photography services which is a real let down to be honest. Seeing that Bearded Men offered this but kept their Instagram up to date with top quality videos and pictures got me excited to try them. On the day (25th May) we had Liz as our guide. She gave us all the safety information at the start and then told us about the rapids and what to do incase any of us fall out etc. During the rafting, her commands were loud so everyone could hear her, the only criticism I have is, before we touched water, we should have done practice row strokes on the land as some of the women in our raft didn’t know what they were doing most of the time. Apart from that there really were no other critiques! We really did have an amazing time and Liz made that absolutely possible! Liz made it fun by giving us options to get as wet as we wanted, there were women on our raft who weren’t good swimmers so we couldn’t flip our raft but we played other games instead that ended some of us in the drink. We highly recommend! We also done River Tubing in the morning but will write a second review for that, but all the staff were absolutely amazing! Can’t wait to book another activity with them!!

Really well organised and relaxed set up, Richard was a brilliant and enthusiastic guide. Rafting through llangollen was really memorable. Fab fun with friends and will be coming back with family!
