Your Itinerary
Salzburger Altstadt
Our Experience Guide will meet you right in front of Mozart Statue at Mozart square. A perfect place to start talking about the beginnings of Salzburg and the famous musician W.A.Mozart.
Residenzplatz
Continue the tour to the Residenzplatz. The architecture changes all of a sudden. The small streets and the shops are replaced with big spacious squares, a big Residence fountain in the centre of the square, the Old Residenz and the New Residenz buildings. Most buildings hold precious treasures and art of Salzburg's history, definitely worth to visit.
Salzburg Cathedral
Take a look into the Salzburg Dom and find many frescos, altars and organs. The crypt holds many graves from the former Prince-Archbishops and even modern art in an 12th century apsis. On the way out find the baptismal where W.A.Mozart was baptized.
Admission Included
Getreidegasse
Take a walk along the shopping street. Find beautifull wrought iron signs, arts and craft shops between famous name brands along the narrow street. Spoil yourself with a shopping spree in Getreidegasse after the tour.
Mozart's Birthplace
(Pass by)
Mozarts Birthplace is right in the centre of Getreidegasse. Most people stop in front of the big yellow house or choose to visit the Museum. Listen to facts about the Mozart family, their life and career, their faith and their heritage.
Kollegienkirche (Collegiate Church)
One of the most fun places in Salzburg is the Farmers Market at the University square. This big, baroque church forms an impressive backdrop for the food stands. Do not hesitate to try the local cheese, sausages, fruits and pretzels with some local beer or fresh water.
Alter Markt
(Pass by)
The Old Market square is surrounded by shops and famous coffee houses. This is a place to enjoy the rest of your day after the tour with a cup of good coffee and freshly made apple-strudel.
Fortress Hohensalzburg
At the end of the tour take the funicular to the top of the fortress Hohensalzburg and enjoy the view into Salzburg. From this over 900 year old fortress you can even view the Northern Limestone Alps and on a very clear day you can see the Eagles Nest in the far distance.
Your guide will show you hidden areas of the fortress and explain to you the fascinating history of this fortress by walking through the 15th century state rooms all the way to the tall tower.

Our guide Annabelle was fantastic! Was very flexible with itinerary and highly recommended for a quick introduction to the beautiful city and tips for best Christmasmarkets!

We thoroughly enjoyed Maria's tour! We hit all the highlights of Salzburg's old town and fortress. Maria was extremely knowledgeable, personable, and flexible with her tour. Many thanks to Maria for showing us beautiful Salzburg!

We had a great tour of Salzburg. Caroline was a terrific guide. As a art historian, she was extremely knowledgeable. She gave us an overview of the history and layout of Salzburg then walked us through all the amazing sites in the city center.

We had a great 3 hour private tour with our guide Martina - she was extremely knowledgeable and adapted the tour to our interests and speed. We had an amazing time.

We met our guide in Mozartplatz and even though we were running a little behind due to transportation issues (note use the bus and don't count on taxi or uber in Salzburg) and she was very gracious and waited for us. We unexpectedly had a beautiful sunny December day and it was perfect for walking around town and learning all about the history of Salzburg. Our guide was very nice and gave us lots of details about her hometown. We mentioned that we were going to go up the castle the next day and she had discount vouchers that she gave us for the entrance fee. She took us in a gorgeous all white church near the university area which is literally breathtaking! We throughly enjoyed out tour and would highly recommend it to anyone. We ranged in age from 24 to 61. Thanks for a great tour.

Anna, was waiting for us at our Hotel reception. Very friendly lady and the entire tour, was accompanied by history, folklore, amusing stories and all round in depth knowledge of Salzburg.
A great introduction to this beautiful City and it is worth doing something like this on arrival, as it really orientates you, for the rest of your stay
Totally recommend this company and totally recommend Anna as a tour guide.
Thank you.

I’ve had many private tour guides throughout Europe, Michaela is truly the best. Her knowledge, passion, enthusiasm and vibrancy is unparalleled. We were so happy with her ability to understand our different likes and interests—she would change “direction” at the drop off hat to accommodate us. After our 1st excursion we booked others and look forward to seeing Michaela again one day!

After touring with Michaela in August of 2017, we could not wait for another special tour of Salzburg that only Michaela could deliver. You will not regret it if you schedule a tour with Michaela - she is the best! Dave

Michaela was really an amazing guide. It was so hot, but she made every moment so exciting and enjoyable despite the heat wave. I really wasn’t sure if my 2 (8,11) would make it, but they loved her and every minute of this informative and relaxed tour. She was patient and made frequent stops for water and ice cream. We discovered so many new things about the city and she started the tour with some very special original chocolate treats and came stocked with fans for all of us to keep cool. She shared her knowledge and gave us some great tips of things to do ourselves as well. Salzburg exceeded my expectations and I’m glad we are spending a couple of days here and not just rushing through. Thanks Michaela we all had a very enjoyable afternoon.
