As a city girl, I am not well-versed in farming practices, and I learned so much about the irrigation systems and leading technologies used in Australian cotton farming. Hats off to our entrepreneurial farmers, always looking to do things better and more sustainably. The tour leader is a charismatic local who gave us lots of fun facts about the city and region as well.

This was one of the best guided tours we have ever completed. The guide was knowledgeable, answered questions, but not over the top.

Amazing pumping installations. All about water and irrigation of course and cotton growing. Small group tour in minibus, excellent guides with exhaustive knowledge.

Had a pleasant time with this tour. Mike was very friendly and . a full rundown of town life on way to cotton farm. He explained the irrigation system, showed up their dam, watering systems and explained fields and their differing crops. We then went to the sheds where a very informative display was setup explaining the reduction of water use, pesticide spraying by 95%, and garment recycling. Then off to Customs House museum for a fantastic morning tea of damper, tea, coffee and milkshakes. Would thoroughly recommend this tour.

What a wonderful and interesting tour we had with Mike as our tour guide, who showed us around the Cotton Farm and Town, with stops at the Customs House and clothing shop. He was so knowledgeable passing on the details that went into the farming of cotton and the Goondiwindi area. The town looked to have so much pride in its appearance with friendly people met around town. I would recommend the tour to anyone having the chance to stop and experience this.
