We had an amazing 1/2 day tour of Port Lincoln with Joe, best tour we’ve done in a long time. Amazing scenery and the wild koalas was the best experience, Joe pulled up under a tree and we had a cuppa and biscuit amoungt the wild koalas. Highly recommend this tour and Joe

I have done a lot of traveling and tours in my life, and this one was honestly one of the best I had ever been on. I came to Port Lincoln to shark cage dive and signed up for this tour as something else to try. I was honestly blown away how amazing of a day I had. Joe was the tour guide, a local of Port Lincoln. It was just me and one other on the tour. I learned so much during the tour from Joe, and he had endless stories to share. Lincoln National park was breathtaking, and filled with wild life and amazing views. Joe honestly made the tour so amazing though. He took us for a ride on the sand dunes, and to see Pygmy Possums, two unexpected amazing parts of the day. He had more knowledge than any tour guide I've met and was a joy to spend the day with. He also knew where to see the wildlife and we saw, lizards, emus, birds, and baby koalas! I cannot recommend it enough.

The best part of our day was our tour guide, Joe. He was so knowledgeable and fun, and he took us to the most spectacular places! It was the highlight of our trip, and we learned so much about this beautiful area. Joe was absolutely wonderful.

I was lucky that this tour took place at all, as there were only three of us in the end. This being the case, we were treated to an upgrade in a 4WD, which allowed for some dune bashing and sand-boarding, if desired. We couldn't have picked a better day, as the weather was perfect, unlike the day before or the day after. Joe was our driver/guide, and there couldn't have been a better one. He had the experience and knowledge that comes with age. He showed us a part of Australia which was indeed untamed. The coastline is spectacular, rugged cliffs and blue and turquoise waters, especially along the Whalers Way. Who knew that they are planning to commercially launch rockets from this privately owned piece of wilderness? The first three attempts have failed, and at the moment the launch site is deserted. But for how long? While wildlife was not abundant, we did see quite a few emus, picked up (Joe did) a blue-tongue lizard to remove a tick from its skin and literally came face to face with a koala. Our fish and chips lunch was delicious, and we also had morning tea in a beautiful part of Lincoln National Park. I can highly recommend the Tasting Eyre tour, it made me want to discover more of the Peninsula. I would have been very disappointed to miss it, but solo travellers will need to be aware that a tour cancellation is a real possibility.

Jo was our guide and was so informative and experienced in the local area. His knowledge of the National Park and wildlife were exceptional. A fantastic day, so many great lookouts and the Mikkira koala sanctuary was a great way to finish our tour. Thank you Jo and Untamed escapes. Susie and Steve

Port Lincoln Tour This tour is perhaps misnamed as it is much more inclusive than just Port Lincoln. We did get an overview of the city but most of our time was spent exploring the gorgeous landscape and animals of the Eyre Peninsula, including parts of the Lincoln National Park. Our guide, Joe was the perfect ambassador to the area. Joe was not only born and lives in Port Lincoln but is a retired National Park Ranger for the Eyre Peninsula National Parks. He knows the history of the area and the development of the national parks. He knows the plants and animals and has some great stories to tell of his life as a Park Ranger. We saw lots of kangaroos, emus, and koalas. I am now an expert in identifying the pyramid-shaped mounds of emu poop. Aside from the breathtaking coastline of Eyre Peninsula, my highlight was our entry to the private former sheep station to see the many koalas. Joe would point them out where I would have missed them on my own. We got within only a few feet of koalas including a mother with her joey. This was certainly a highlight of my visit to Australia. I highly recommend this tour of the surprisingly beautiful Eyre Peninsula especially if you are fortunate enough to travel with Joe, a truly wonderful guide and interesting person.

The tour guide was knowledgeable. We got to see a lot of native wildlife - eg, kangaroos, koalas, and emus. Lunch was great 👍

Our tour guide was Geoff who gave us an insight into into everything about the environment, history and management of the Port Lincoln National Park and the area in general. It was an educational tour as much as it was a relaxing experience and it was a very good value-for-money excursion. We couldn't speak higher of the tour and recommend it thoroughly.
