Anglesea

(Pass by)

The seaside town of Anglesea is situated along the scenic Great Ocean Road on the Anglesea River, between the nearby coastal towns of Torquay and Aireys Inlet. Anglesea is a particularly significant town on the Great Ocean Road as it marks the first spot south-west of the road's official start at Torquay where it meets the coast.

Aireys Inlet

Aireys Inlet is a small coastal inlet and town located on the Great Ocean Road, southwest of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. Aireys Inlet is located between Anglesea and Lorne, and joined with Fairhaven to the west. Many surfers holiday in Aireys Inlet to take advantage of the popular Fairhaven beach.

The Great Ocean Road

The magnificent rocks that rise up from the southern ocean. The constant blasting winds softened the limestone cliffs, forming amazing caves. Kanga Road tours is probably one of the most amazing, well-run companies I have come across in Australia, and I could not be any happier. Right from the start, I have had an amazing experience with Jolanta, who helped book my mum and myself on to this tour, and sent a reminder email of the meeting time, and place the day before. Starting early, we met Kris our guide, and set off with our small, intimate group of 4. As it was a small group, we were able to be flexible with our itinerary, and actually got hit more stops than on the itinerary. The day was well paced, with plenty of time to walk around, take photos, grab a bite to eat, but we packed a lot in. Kris is a wealth of information on just about anything. We thoroughly enjoyed his ongoing commentary throughout the trip on history, nature, interesting anecdotes, and dad jokes! A passionate guide who clearly knows his stuff, and loves what he does! I especially loved that we visited places less 'touristy' such as The Narana Aboriginal Centre, Apollo bay, and Port Campbell in addition to the idyllic natural structures promised on the Great Ocean Drive. Overall, a perfectly wonderful day, with a wonderful group. I highly recommend Kanga Road Tours!

The tour gave an excellent impression of nature and wildlife at the Great Ocean Road. The tour guide did a great job by explaining every detail of anything you saw. Great tour, great tour guide! Highly recommendable for everyone!

We had an awesome day on Feb. 7 with beautiful stops, breathtaking scenery, and kangaroo sightings. Kris is an amazing tour guide who truly puts his guests first. He has a wealth of knowledge that he shared about the sights and Australia in general. We especially enjoyed finding kangaroos and koalas, parrots, emus! Kris is open to suggestions and will tailor the tour to the group. We would highly recommend Kris and this company to get the most out of your tour.

I had a wonderful tour with Kanga Roads. My tour guide Kris was really friendly and could tell you a lot of interesting and funny facts about the sights we visited. I went even a bit further than most of the big tour busses do. You get close encouters with the wildlife and learn about aboriginal culture as well. Highly recommend especially when your time in Australia is limited.

I enjoyed this tour very much. Every stop was worthy and our driver Kris made the whole journey very pleasant. He was kind, nice and funny. I would recommend this tour to anyone.

A great small group tour executed by a fantastic guide. We really enjoyed the tour. It is a long day; however we managed to cover a lot of ground and saw all the highlights.

We really enjoyed on the Great Ocean Road with Kanga Road. Kris our tour guide was amazing. You can tell that he really loves showing and telling people about this beautiful country and all it has to offer. It is really nice to be in a smaller tour group as well brings more depth to the trip! Thank you. Hope to come back soon to Melbourne!

I booked in the Kanga Road Tour and thought we were going to be a group of up to 12 people in a small coach. Instead we were just three and we did the whole trip in a luxury subaru with the best aircon. Our tour guide was amazing. He had so much knowledge of the area, he was super friendly and squeezed in extra stops for us on both his and our request. We had the sanctuary to ourselves (they open it just for Kanga Tours in the morning) we also had a complimentary coffee and biscuits at the sanctuary which was really nice. In the cool box in the car we had lots of bottles of cold water, and a big box of dried fruit. We also were provided with sun cream to make sure we didn’t burn! I don’t think I have experience a better tour before, period. I would HIGHLY recommend this trip.

My partner and I thoroughly enjoyed our day, the views were spectacular and for us, what made it even more special was our tour guide Kris. He really had an excellent rapport with us all and was so friendly and a fountain of knowledge! He told us so many interesting facts and stories from his own experiences along the way. It was a long day (13hrs on the move- as with any day tour) but he went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable and stopped at all the main attractions, as well as some lesser known spots. Good value and a great option, especially if you are on a budget!

Brilliant Tour. Not to be Missed. Kanga’s Great Ocean Rd Tour was the Absolute Highlight of my 7 week stay in Australia. Awesome scenery along the route and so many stops at so many interesting places. The scenery alone was spectacular, but Kris the guide made the day with an expert and knowledgeable commentary, providing so much interesting information about the places we visited. A most memorable trip. Can’t rate it highly enough, or recommend it more. Don’t visit Melbourne without booking a Kanga Road Tour. You won’t regret it. It will enrich your visit.
