Was absolutely fascinating. Loved the mini working mill - it was so much easier to start to understand the process of sugar production. Angela and the other girls were amazing - had so much knowledge and made the tour interesting. The product are also amazing in taste and texture. Recommend for whole family

My husband and I attending a tour of the sugar shed and the rum distillery. We had the BEST time with Carla and Des our tour guides. They were incredible and made our experience fun and so memorable. Thank you Carla for teaching us so much about the sugar cane and making it a really fun experience. Thank you Des for everything you showed us and pouring our drinks. Thank you to all the staff that helped us pick out goodies from the shop, we appreciate how special you made our experience. We will never forget you all and can't wait to come back!

Very interesting and engaging tour which lasted just over an hour. Guide kept us all involved ( approx 18 ) including some younger kids. Tasting session was fun and my wife and I ordered a sharing lunch platter which was really tasty and presented beautifully. The staff were all very pleasant , some nice products on sale in the shop. Would highly recommend. Ps..worth a stop off at Grasstree beach just outside Sarina for the views.

My sister and I visited the Sugar Shed after passing so many cane fields during our North Queensland road trip. It was difficult to find, only because we relied on Google Maps in the car. If we had paid attention to the brown signs in Sarina in the first place, it would have been straight forward. It was a very informative session, although a little bit too fast when it came to technicalities as to the workings of some machines. We got to taste the raw cane juice and even better, the molasses. After, we went to the tasting shed and had as much as we liked of the various chutneys, fairy floss and different rum varieties in a cocktail. The shop sold a good selection of the chutneys and other items. We paid $28 and $24 (senior card), but thought that was pretty steep for what you got : a run down on the sugar cane industry and some tastings. Still, a good experience on the whole.

Excellent tour including a short stroll around the old cane harvesting machinery, followed by a demonstration of how the sugar mill works with tastings along the way. More tasting of the finished products, including pickles, chutneys and drinks. The Sugar Shed is well signposted and easy to find. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. We had the platter afterwards, which was very tasty.

We loved the kids tour, interactive and yummy! My 5 year old son has been talking all about the cane grass and the process of making sugar! Obviously his highlight was the fairy floss at the end but I know he also learnt so much!

Small group and short event that walks you through making of sugar from sugarcane. Interesting part is tasting sugarcane juice and interim products and liqueur tasting at the end. Offered candy floss for the kids. Overall good event to spend an hour.
