This tour totally made our trip to Ghent. Our tour guide Christoph was the best- he was hilarious and also made us feel comfortable and safe. I take bike tours in most new places I visit and this was the best one I’ve ever done. He really takes his time and takes you to hidden gem after hidden gem. We went back to several of the places he took us to on the tour. He also recommended several local restaurants after the tour. We went to 2 and they were some of the best meals we ate during our trip.
More info: he takes GoPro pics and a Polaroid during the ride so you have plenty of photos. Water in a commemorative bottle is provided. Extra points: he got our whole group to sing happy birthday to my wife in Dutch. So fun!

We had a great time seeing the city with our last minute booking that Chris was able to accommodate. We were glad it wasn’t a typical tour covering the main tourist highlights in one small area that we could cover on foot later, but showing us a wider part of Ghent. Definitely a can’t miss opportunity!

Brilliant, fun way to see more of Ghent. Fascinating insights into the history and culture of a vibrant city, led by a genuine native and enthusiast. Highly recommend.

Great tour through the streets and dirt paths. Our guide was informative and sensitive to our needs. He also led the tour in two languages for us. I am not a big bike rider but found it easy to do and fun. We stopped at places we certainly wouldn’t have known on our own like a great brewery.

Had a great time with Chris leading this bike tour! It felt really authentic compared to other tours we’ve done which have really been “run of the mill”. You cover a lot of ground and see so much of this beautiful city; lots of street art, graffiti and interactive art installations as well as local parks and back streets filled with charm. Good varieties of architecture and history of the city. It started to rain a little but it didn’t affect our experience. Chris really commands the road and directs traffic when needed, so you’re not left to make decisions within the city perimeters if you’re worried about biking with cars and other cyclists on the road. He really makes things easy for you if you’re an inexperienced rider. Your didn’t feel rushed at all and there was time for a beer with the group at a local beer house. I’d highly recommend this tour for anyone who’d like to try their hand at riding in a European city and see what it’s like by bike. Thank you!

Amazing tour!! Got to travel around the places of Ghent I wouldn't have walked to. The artwork around town was awesome and learning a bit about the area was very interesting. You can tell the tour guide was very passionate about his job and went above and beyond to make our experience excellent. Even in the rain, highly recommend!!

Team-Germany very much enjoyed the bike tour on 28.9.2023 by Chris through the beautiful Ghent.
Chris is an extremely attentive and caring guide who has kept the troop well and safely together in the traffic diverse Ghent. He showed us corners of Ghent that we would otherwise never have seen in a 30 hours stay. The selection and topics were very good. We all liked his refreshing, nice manner and the equipment of the mountain bikes. We will recommend this tour and will repeat it on our next visit to Ghent.

It was great fun to explore other parts of Ghent on a bike. So much is centered around the old city but this tour showed us how the rest of Ghent lives. You never felt unsafe on the bikes while riding around.

If you want to see more than the usual touristic places of Ghent, you should definitely take a ride with Chris! We had a fantastic 2,5 hours tour through the city and saw places we would not have explored without the tour - topped with amazing art around each little corner. Chris loves his city and is very passionate to share it - he is positively contagious and just fun! Don't hesitate - book your ticket to enjoy a fantastic ride! Thank you, Chris!

The tour was simply not good. There was zero information about Gent in general, and the sites included a very small children’s park, an old convent with overgrown grass and virtually no history, and other uninteresting sites along neighborhood spots far from the beautiful historic area. This is no more than the little places I might show you in my own neighborhood that have nothing to do with the place you are visiting.
Further, my bike was way too large, and men taller than I am received the smaller bikes because they were older — even though they raised the seats to make them fit their long legs. My legs were completely straight with every pedal, and my bottom hurt terribly.
When I complained about the bike, Kris said that he couldn’t carry every bike in every size. He also said that if I cancelled, I’d lose my moneyt, as it was too late to cancel for a refund. This was ridiculous. If you have ten children show up, and you only have men's bikes, do they not get a refund?
Finally, it’s fine to use colorful language, but vulgarity is not okay. On this trip, he told me his bike was too big and his “balls” also hit the bike tube just like the bar hit me. He talked about and image of a woman’s breasts referring to them as “t*tties”. Then he must have used “the eff word” a dozen times.
Save your money and do a walking tour around the Ghent you came to see. Because I promise you, this is not the Ghent you traveled for.
