Absolutely fantastic trip, the monestary it self was a little mediocre compared to those in other parts of Europe. However, our guide made the tour, Georgi’s knowledge of the local area, historic, religious, geography and politics was outstanding. The trip was more educational than touristy. Melnik is a really special place, we had a fantastic lunch and enjoyed learning about the historical significance of the village. The locals sell all goods produced in the area and we picked up some lovely momentos for home. The vineyard was great another amazing guide in a young local girl - Johanna! The people we met made the tour a unique and memorable experience. Totally surpassed my expectations. This is a tour for history lovers and as a historican I loved it! Couldn’t recommend highly enough, booking, pick up, drop off all seamless.

he Kordopulov (or Kordopulov's) House is a large Bulgarian National Revival house in the southwestern Bulgarian town of Melnik. It was built in 1754 specifically for wine production and was bought by the rich and known Greek merchant Manolis Kordopulos. These unique natural formations attract tourists from all over the world. It is thought that the limestone of which they are composed is the result of erosion, and those forces continue to alter their shape.

Вe will head to a nearby village - Rojen, where you could have nice lunch and a glass of excellent local wine. We will pay a quick visit to an old monastery, the third most important monastery in Bulgaria.

Stop At: Villa Melnik Winery, The road between Melnik and Gotse Delchev, village of Harsovo 7km from Melnik, Harsovo 2819 Bulgaria
