Overall the actual experience of seeing the Grand Canyon was amazing. Along the way it was nice to see both the Colorado river and Hoover dam. The reason I couldn’t give this a 5 star rating was due to how rushed the experience was . The bus ride there was very cramped, they ran behind on the pick up and it was very unorganized when it came to the bus catching process. Once we arrived at the Grand Canyon we spent only about 45 minutes to an hour there compared to the 3-4 hour drive there and back. The experience from the lunch, gift shop, and actual viewing of the canyon was very rushed. I would recommend doing a solo experience away from a group setting to go at your own pace and really take in the beauty of this place. But for the price I’d say it was great.
Tour was canceled 😞by tour company at last minute. They explained: bus is broken. My vacation was destroyed.
Great attraction. We enjoyed our day at the Grand Canyon. Very well organized tour. Attentive , knowledgeable and experienced staff. Special thanks to Mike, his knowledge of Las Vegas history allowed to learn a great deal about the city, and made the tour really amazing.
Prompt. Friendly. Gave tips on what to do and where to go at Hoover Dam and Grande Canyon West. A+++
Stay away from this company! Do not use Gray Line as they use third party contractors and there is no quality control at all.
We took 2 tours with them - Hoover Dam (8/21/23) and Grand Canyon with IMAX (8/22/23).
First day Hoover Dam - driver was over 1 hr late with no prior notification. However the driver/guide was very informative and the rest of the trip was smooth. However due to the morning pick up delay, evening plans had to be modified.
Second day, Grand Canyon trip pick up was scheduled at 6:30 am. pick up happened at 7:10 am. The itinerary stated that the driver/guide will provide information during the trip in sights and local highlights. This driver pointed out 3 Joshua trees at point and was silent for the 4 hr trip. Reached the IMAX theater late, movie had started already. (This is a part of your Lunch time - this was not told to us prior). After the movie barely got 20 minutes for lunch and bathroom break before re-boarding the bus.
It was drizzling (not their fault), so the driver decided we would have less time( 20 minutes) to visit Maher point - go figure! So we had to run in the rain to see the spot and return to the bus. We only got 90 minutes at the South Rim to enjoy the views we had traveled over 5 hours to visit. On the return trip, the driver got lost! In this day of GPS, how does a tour company "experienced" driver get lost? I took over 7.5 hours to return to Vegas, with just 15 min stop to pick up dinner at a fast food joint.
I had booked this trip as part of a package via Costco and they were trying to get me some resolution from Gray Line, hence the delay in posting. Gray Line responded to Costco agent saying that the delays were due to construction at Las Vegas for Formula 1 Racing. How does that impact driver experience and service at the Grand Canyon?

The events on 4 Dec 2023, at the grand canyon, were beyond the control of the gray line bus tour company. However, management response was abysmal - unresponsive to emails/phone calls. Neicy and Rod were fantastic - especially Neicy who had to deal with 40+ frustrated bus passengers. This woman is a credit to the company, who does not deserve her.

The actual canyon experience was one of a kind and amazing. However. The tour company arrived more than 35 minutes late to our pick up location, making an already long tour, even longer. The company failed to inform us of the tardiness and it wasn't until I called that they got back to me. The tour guides were friendly. The bus was not comfortable, especially for such a long ride. A rest stop with more variety would help.
Bus was 40 minutes late to pick us up. There were too many stops that were time wasted. The last additional restroom stop is not needed as we just stopped for driver switch/dinner break 45 minutes prior.
