World Cup of Team Building - Round of 16

The top 16 countries compete to go through to the quarter finals of the team building World Cup

This is the last 16 group of our totally made up "World Cup of Team Building" where we look at some of the experiences you could get out of your next team building day. 100% fiction, and 100% just for fun!

Netherlands V Wales

First game is the “Orange Army” v the Welsh Dragon! The Netherlands is home to many fantastic escape games and scavenger hunts; as well as the obvious attractions of Amsterdam and all the facilities a major city can boast. Wales is full of natural wonders and great outdoor activities such as kayaking and canyoning, and Aaron Ramsey!

Result? Netherlands edge it
England v USA

A clash of some of the big players in corporate team building and memories of the Boston Tea Party with Saka versus Turner. England has developed a network of sports centres that can provide superb team sports such as bubble football, and soft cricket. The USA benefits from a wide range of environments from mountains, beaches, and deserts as well as top cities.

Result? USA USA USA!
Poland v Australia

Poland’s corporate events market has benefitted from the growth of stag and hen parties in the region with fantastic facilities for go karting and paintball. “Down Under” is an amazing place for team bonding, with some of the best wine tasting and vineyards in the World, as well as superb sailing and watersports

Result? It has to be Australia due to the weather

France v Denmark

Two heavy weights of Europe bring the French versus the Danes. Paris has some of the best facilities in Europe for team meetings allied with top cuisine and attractions. Denmark is a great destination for outdoor sports and watersports.

Result? Evendo was born in Denmark, so they win it with a late one!
Spain v Germany

Another two European giants face off in a fantastic match up. Spain has a wide range of culture and cuisines, as well as some great cities like Barcelona and Madrid offering wonderful cookery classes and gourmet tours. Germany’s top cities can offer great driving experiences and festivals like Oktoberfest.
 
Result? Spain proves to be too big a challenge in this match.
Croatia v Belgium

Two very different destinations offering unique experiences. Belgium is known for amazing beer tasting and brewery tours as well as all the facilities that a top European city like Brussels can offer. Croatia is a match for any destination for watersports and outdoor adventures like rafting and sailing.

Result? Croatia wins this one

Switzerland v Japan

Xhaka versus Tomiyasu in this match with the amazing Alpine scenary, chocolate tasting and historical culture of Switzerland versus the hi tech experiences of Japan and major cities like Tokyo, with it’s robot bars, super mario go karts and sumo wrestling.

Result? Japan are through to the next group
Portugal v Brazil

Two countries that share more than just a common language. Portugal has amazing history, watersports, and facilities, Brazil combines a jaw dropping natural wonders, vibrant cities, and a love of all things football.

Result? Shock as Brazil go out early
