Our guide took us to iconic sights and taught us new techniques on our iPhones. We caught amazing photos. He also took us to books and crannies of the city to capture artistic angles and vantage points. He was thoughtful, even buying us an umbrella when it started raining. He was patient, interesting, and skilled.

This tour was a true highlight of our week in London! David was very informative and patient with us and I've used his tips and tricks immediately the next day and whenever I have the chance to up-level my photos for travel OR everyday! Bravo David!

I ended up having a one on one Night Photography Tour in London with Dave. As I was exhausted from walking all day, Dave suggested we take The Tube from location to location instead of walking. He was great. He listened to me and soon gauged my photographic abilities. We then took our time setting up various and varied artistic shots around London. I was more than happy spending time Dave and talking about cameras, photographs etc. When our session had finished, he even waiting with me until I hailed a cab. As a female I greatly appreciated this gesture. Great experience and well worth the money.

I had a wonderful experience learning so much. We went to several “hidden” places for just the right shot. As the only woman, I was treated with respect and lots of patience. My battery was low and finally died. I them used my iPhone and learned even more tips and tricks. At the end of the evening the young men helped me get a cab back to my motel. Besides learning so much I had a wonderful time.

What a great night! Four of us met David and after a brief review of basics, shot photos of Big Ben. It’s hard to get a good shot of a lone tower, so David took us to a couple of locations to frame it. From there, we experimented with settings at the London Eye. We got some terrific reflections and some arty shots, experimenting with shutter speed. From here, we moved to the Tower Bridge for light trails using the famous London buses. He had another location planned for us, but because he spent so much time with each of us, guaranteeing our shots, we didn’t make it to St. Paul’s. We had two participants with SLR’s and two with iPhones, and all of us learned so much and came away with great photos. We had a great time together and will come home with proof!

Perfectly on time, excellent instructions and locations with a professional photographer. I am very happy with my first night photographs despite the weather. Thank you David

The opportunity to view London through the lens after dark was fabulous. My host, David, was very knowledgeable, friendly and personable. He is a professional photographer and, therefore, able to provide educated guidance and creative suggestions throughout the tour. Overall, a highly enjoyable and surprisingly exclusive (just Davit and me) experience.

This tour was a combination of learning new techniques and camera features, and seeing London at night. Please note that this is a group tour and not private instruction. One of the participants (out of 3) thought they were getting a private tour. The other 2 of us were aware that it was a group tour. The tour started off with the opportunity to explore camera control and technique. We all learned things we didn’t know they could do and some techniques we hadn’t tried before. Just two examples for me were that my camera can take a multiple exposure shot and that you can create special effects by zooming your lens during long exposure. This time would also be good if you were not very experienced as a photographer or with your camera. After this we visited St Paul’s and the Tower Bridge. Here we explored some long exposure techniques. You definitely need a tripod for the long exposures you were doing. Unfortunately the airline had lost my baggage with my tripod in it. Fortunately David was able to bring along a spare tripod that I ended up sharing with one of the other participants. I didn’t feel that I missed out on any shots by sharing but having my own tripod I would have had a bit more flexibility. David had good knowledge of both the city and photography. He knew we were looking for unique-ish shots which he was able to guide us to. He had good knowledge of most camera brands but was not that familiar with my Fuji. That was not a problem as although it is a reasonably new camera for me, I knew my way around the menus and how to operate the camera in different modes. I am a fairly experienced photographer although not so much in night time photography. This was a well spent couple of hours in night time London. And worth the cost of the tour.

Tour guide, David, was more accommodating than you would expect someone in his position to be. Started the tour by teaching the basics of photography and how even the smallest changes in settings can make a huge difference. Along with exploring the night view of the city, I learned so much about photography that I can/will continue to use in the future. Can’t recommend this tour enough, benefits are limitless and you will not regret even a bit of it.
