Riva Harbor

(Pass by)

The Riva started to look the way it does today two centuries ago, when the French, in time of Napoleon ruled these parts through Marshal Marmont. Today this promenade is the cities living room, the most popular and most important public place in Split. In the meantime it has been widened and reconstructed several times, but it was always blessed with the most spectacular set, the south facade of the Diocletian Palace, with the entrance into the Substructures, and later on with the buildings that were built west of the Palace, also the Franciscan monastery with the church of St. Francis, and the Bajamonti Dešković Palace and last but not least the Port Authorities building on the east end

Bacvice Beach

(Pass by)

Bacvice is sandy beach, with sand being very soft. It is pleasing to walk on it and enter the sea. Water is shallow even 100 meters away from the coast. That means it's ideal for having fun and playing water sports. Bacvice is place of birth of game called picigin, which is part of UNESCO non-material heritage. The game is played by throwing a small ball to the other players, in shallow water. The ball must not enter the sea, and aim of the game is to keep it up in the air as much as possible. Every year in Split is held Picigin World Cup. Croatian team usually wins.

Sustipan

(Pass by)

The southwest cape of the Split harbour is called Sustipan after a Middle Aged monastery of St. Stephen under the pine trees, which served as the resting ground to the Croatian Kings. At the beginning of the 19th century Sustipan became Split's first cemetery, outside of the city at the time, only to be demolished, regardless of the emotional connection citizen's of Split had for this location and an extraordinary artistic value of the local tombs, by the communist authorities after the opening of the new cities cemetery. The only thing preserved to this day of the entire cemetery is a Classicistic gloriette. Sustipan is turned into a beautiful park, a genuine little green oasis in the immediate vicinity of Marjan and the city, from its reefs that meet the sea a breathtaking view spreads directly towards the deep sea and the islands in front of Split.

Marjan Park

(Pass by)

Marjan, the hill that overlooks the city has always been the most impressive part of Split imagery. Such a harmony betwwen natural and urban is rarely found; on one side the densely populated city in all of its glory and on the other a peninsula of almost pristine nature.

Kasjuni Beach

Backing onto the pine-covered foothills of the Marjan peninsula, this scenic pebble and sand stretch has an appealing laid-back atmosphere. Kašuni Beach is an attractive beach destination for swimming and sunbathing. More peaceful and rural in feel than Split’s main Bačvice Beach, it is a good place to enjoy a relaxing day out. Bask in the sun and lounge away an afternoon on its tranquil shores. The strip is comprised of fine pebble and sand and is bordered by wooded sloping hills. Also we stop in front of the beach for swimming.

We felt pretty fooled by this Tour - if you book this Tour at the harbor, you pay half the price for exact the same Tour. So - don t book it online...

This boat ride exceeded our expectations! The views along the route were beautiful. We got to jump off and swim around. The host was so friendly and provided a lot of information about the history of Split as well as useful recommendations for our time there. Would definitely recommend!

The trip took over 1,5 hours. There were only a few people on the deck, in the front we sit with another couple so we had good view for making videos and photos. We also enjoyed talking with the couple who were originally from Azerbaijan but emigrated to America because of the turmoil in their country. Ante offered us refreshment of our choice in a plastic cup - wine for my husband and lemonade for me once- despite he announced it will be unlimited drinks. We paid Euro 70 for both of us. There is some confusion for us what's the name of the agency as the bill was printed as from BAJAM tur. agencija and the voucher heading was of Travela travel agency. Despite we enjoyed a lot of our trip it would be appreciated if we would be told or got some information what part or Split's coast we were passing by. We would do it again if we will be visiting Split.

So good to get away from the crowds for 90 minutes - 2 large cruise ships were in town. Good to see Split from the sea, and also the Marjan peninsula. White plonk served in plastic cups both on the outward and return journeys, and opportunity for a swim for those who wanted it. Awnings were put up to keep the sun off. The only disappointment - there was no commentary, and we had to ask the “captain” for information on what we were passing. More info on the replica boat would have been useful; it had lovingly been built but we knew nothing about it!

We booked via Mia on stand 6 and she said along with the sunset, you'd go past some historical places, get unlimited drinks plus cheese/ham boards Judita failed the deliver - not sure if she was drunk (she seemed it a bit and a few of us thought she was) otherwise she was just v.lazy on wed 12th We got 3 drinks total - 2 soley because we finally managed to find her off her phone or not hiding or just finally catch her attention to ask for one! The cheese board...we got a cube or two each then we watched her scoff have of it herself while she was standing with 2 other guests but hadn't cicled around elsewhere And didn't see any ham. Also who knows where the historical places were, no info shared. Cute to spend time with my friend watching the sunset so for the view spot and a trip that doesn't use a lot of your time then fab. But yeah Judita was certainly having a majorly off day - she's there to make the experience but she soley was a 1* performance!

Was a great experience! Definitely worth it with Judita and Ivica were great! Despite the rain they made it a fantastic experience. The captain knew a lot about the history!

We booked a 90 minutes tour: 2 adults and 4 children. We paid 100 Euro in total. Due to the fact that noone else booked this tour the operator accepted a private tour instead. So the boat was delayed by 30 minutes and they just shortened our tour to 75 minutes and skipped the swim. The included drink was a cheap white wine in a 100 ml plastic cup and some orange syrup with a lot of water that the kids didn't want to drink. To sell this as juice was just ridiculous. The company did give us a refund of 20 Euro which was nice but still I found 80 Euro for 2 adults, a baby, a toddler and 2 kids too much.

This was a nice boat ride around split, with a short stop to swim in the ocean. The boat wasn't overcrowded, we got drinks, and some information about the sights we were seeing. Judita was great, and this is something I'd totally recommend to anyone!

Andrea_M

The ship is a historic replica. The 1.5 hour trip was perfect. We had an excellent view of the scenery from the top deck. There was plenty of shade. The boat was uncrowded, and we thoroughly enjoyed seeing Split, the Peninsula and other sights from the water. We even had time for a swim in the beautiful water! We highly recommend this for a relaxing outing.
